I had applied to 3 different temp agencies to try and jumpstart a career. Two of which wanted to send me to a collections position. Nothing against collections but when you specifically say you dont want to do it they should listen. That is what Selective Staffing did....Listen!! I worked with Laura and she listened and took notes about everything I said and before I walked out the door she had a place in mind to potentially send me too. Before I even heard back from that job she let me know of a possible plan b if it were to fall through. She made me feel like she was looking for jobs just for me!! Every e-mail or phone call question I had was answered within an hour everytime...and I had many. What people need to understand is that a staffing agency is the middle man, they can lead you in a direction but they cant seal the deal for you, thats where you have to come in. If you are motivated and educated they will find you something. If you think that you are going to sit back and wait for them to call you with a start date, your going to have a bad experience everytime. Be proactive these days, there are hundreds of other people that are going for your job no matter if it is temporary or full time.

I’ve dealt with many hiring agencies the past couple of years and I would have to say that my best experience was with Selective Staffing. They’re entire staff is very professional and they really care about getting you a job that’s just right for you. From the beginning to the end, the whole process was really easy and quick!! I couldn’t believe how fast I got a job offer after so many months of looking on my own and never hearing back from anyone!! (less than two weeks!!) I worked with Mitch while there and he was awesome! He always updated me on what was going on throughout the whole hiring process and was there if I had any questions or concerns. He was also very helpful in preparing for the interviews and made sure I knew what to ask and how to respond to certain questions, it really made the interviews go a lot easier for me. I was really glad that I chose Selective and got to work with Mitch. I have recommended Selective to many of my friends and they have found great careers just like me! I suggest anyone who is tired of applying to job openings but never hear anything back to really check them out and let them help you get the job you have always wanted! You won’t regret it!

I at first was a little hesitant to join selective staffing as a temporary employee. I used to think that this kind of thing was the lazy way of getting a job. Boy was I wrong. When I walked into the building I was pleasantly greeted by the lady at the front desk. I did not even have time to sit down before the started the "enrollment" process with me. They took my resume that I thought was embarrassing and turned into a work of art. No more than 2 days later I received a call for an interview with one of the local banks and was given great advice. I got hired on and even though remembering to fill out my time sheet can be a difficult task, they would always give me a call to remind me if it was getting too close to the dead line. Needless to say if it wasnt for them, I would have never actually got hired on with one of the best jobs with great benefits for me and my family. Thank you selective staffing.... you all are awesome!!!!

I had the same experience as John Buerger, and Donald Dentice. I tried using SSS shortly after being laid off, in the beginning I really thought they would be able to help me with find a job. What was I thinking, they had me interview at one place, and ended up calling to inform me of an opportunity to start with another company that wanted me to start the next day and was suppose to be full time temp to perm, well after three days they sent me an email requesting me to call them. After calling them they said that I caught the one company up on their orders and wouldnt be needed anymore. That was the last I heard from them, even with calling them to say that I was still looking for employement. This is by far the worst Temp Agency someone could go with.

I have been working with Laura Holakowski, a Senior Recruiter at Selective Staffing Solutions, since Aril 2015 and have been nothing less than satisfied. This was my first time working with a staffing agency and can confidently say that the entire process, from the interview - to getting hired, has been extremely easy, efficient, and professional. If I ever have a question or an issue, all I have to do is email Laura and she responds within minutes. I have already mentioned Selective Staffing Solutions to friends, and will continue to do so. I came to Selective Staffing Solutions because I needed help searching and applying for a new job due to being laid off from my former employer. Everyone at this company/agency helped me tremendously. They were kind, helpful and determined to help me through the application process. The staff made my stressful situation not so stressful after receiving help in my paperwork. After having been listed with this group for over five years and never placed with any jobs, I as I have done before I went to the office to ask for work. I started out well intended but it did not go as planed and was asked to leave, which I did. Latter I had a call from the Amherst police to inform me that if I ever return to this office that I will be arrested for trespassing, and I assured the officer that I will not. Do not use this company, they will not help, you will not find work, you will not find the workers you need. Just let them go away as so many others have done before.
