I visited the Carle Place gym today hoping that the mens locker room renovation would be completed. A trailer has been provided by the club out in the parking lot for mens toilets and showers however it feels more like a glorified Porta potty and I do not choose to use it particularly to shower. The renovation was not complete so I spoke with the club manager about a time line on the project. Dan indicated that the remodel will take another week or so and then there will be an additional three week wait while the Ladies locker rooms are remodeled. I asked him why the additional wait, and Dan explained that the ladies will be using the newly renovated Mens locker room while the guys will continue to use the trailer until the ladies renovation is completed. I asked Dan why the ladies are not expected to use the trailer and he responded that Planet Fitness is a Female Club and that all decisions are driven to prefer Females. I was completely blown away when Manager Dan stated this and asked him if Females were charged additional fees to have this preferential treatment. He assured me that Females pay the same as Males but all decisions are driven with the knowledge that Planet Fitness is a female club. I asked Dan his last name so I could put it in this review but he refused, looking a little uncomfortable, and he asked that I just refer to him as Club Manager Dan. I wonder where Manager Dan was the day I signed with Planet Fitness? Needless to say I will be changing my membership to another location.

Ok, time to downgrade my review again. I just got finished being sick for 2 weeks because there were filthy stationary bikes covered with paper towels and juice bottles some filthy degenerate left because theyre too wretchedly inconsiderate that they never cleaned up after themselves. I guess thats the price you pay choosing a gym based on it being so cheap they cant keep the equipment sanitary and instead rely on the ability of the creeps who come in here to clean up after their pestilent selves. News-flash, degenerate swine: if you want to share your swine-flu among your own bacteria-laden family members, thats your business. But when you come out into the real world among civilized people, you need to clean up after yourselves! Previous review: Im going to upgrade my review at this time, since the machines have had no problems in the 3 times Ive been back. Also there are several staff members who ARE helpful and seem to respond to reviews. The only problems I have now are not the fault of the place itself, but of some of the other customers who dont clean up after themselves. Most of us do, but a few of them are just grimey people who I guess think they are above cleaning up after themselves, or that they dont sweat or something. I encourage other gym-goers to put pressure on these degenerate slobs. Time to act like adults, people, youre not children anymore. Higher standards, please.

I was doing my cardio when the machine kept cutting out and resetting the time on me. I told the privelaged, young, teenage spanish girl at the counter and she rolled her eyes because she had to stop pretending to work for a second and actually do something. That something was write an "out of order" sign on the bike and nothing more. I dont really care about much in a gym. Just that it has the equipment I need and that I wont be bothered, AND that the staff be courteous and helpful. The staff so far has been good enough to sign me up, make sure the scanner worked, etc... but this annoyed me. I cant imagine the customers are that much of a bother, since nobody ever seems to bother the staff. But apparently when someone does, its asking too much of the person who is paid to be there to at least be courteous and answer the concerns of the paying members. I mean, what else is she there for if not that?

Ive been to quite a few planet fitness is recently and I have to say this by far is the worst. The staff is rude and not helpful at all. They seem more concerned with the cell phones and watching whats on television. Its not clean in there , Not sure if the staff does clean in there because no one seems to take out the trash and or wipe down the machines at all. Equipment laying around all over the place I almost fell by the cable machines. This place needs a lot of training.I pray that things change in their employees learn to care about the customers as well as the equipment. 7/11/2017

I have been a member her for almost 4 years. Never had a problem with the staff or facility. Staff is exceptional and social. The facility is open and spacious. Listen, not every gym is perfect but what do you expect for $10 a month. The only thing I have to say is that you do get a large array of different characters. Shadow boxers, perfuse sweaters that dont clean up after themselves, and members who walk away from machines only for you to hear "Bro, Im not done with that" from across the floor while they start lifting free weights. $10 isnt going to stop me from judging the A-holes.

I have been a member for over 5 years.I have been satisfied for the most part until recently.Their front desk has been under construction for over 2 months, and because of this I am not permitted to use the tanning machines.THE MACHINES WORK,but the contractor has instructed the front desk people not to use them.I dont know why,or if its even true.I pay a monthly charge for use of machines I am not permitted to use.But they always say their sorry, maybe next week.Ive been hearing this for six weeks. So ive had enough,I will cancel my membership today.Say goodbye to 100567

Extremely disappointed. I switched to this location after starting a new job, and switched back after 3 months. The locker rooms/showers were pretty gross, attempting to shower before work was never a pleasant experience. I dont know how often the showers were cleaned, but it seemed like never. Compared to all other planet fitness locations Ive been to, this one had the least equipment and the oldest cardio machines. I dont plan on going back

I like to pay once a year ($100). This is the way Ive been a member. The price went up but there was a special being run for the $100. They would not honor. Apparently, they are "not participating" in this special. So, broken machines often, leaking roof, musty smelling bathroom, lousy plowing in the winter and you cant honor the 100? I hope at the very least they repair and add weights with the increase

Horrible Management. This management isnt worried about customer service but focused on just making profits. They did not help me with my cancellation process when it could have been easily done. I dont understand why an email cant just be sent from the certified email address to cancel a membership. We are in the 21st century and Planet Fitness have a blog but can not cancel by email.

It feels like any other gym to me. Go in during the evening after 7 and its pretty empty. You can get a bench quick and mostly all the machines are empty. Focus on your workout and really the only difference youll notice in this gym and the hardcore ones is price. Unless youre a really big guy who benches an insane amount, this gym is all you need.
