Under Phil Corteses supervision, our home in Lancaster underwent extensive kitchen and dining room renovations. My wife and I are thrilled with the result. Michelle Cortese Manfredo skillfully and patiently coordinated colors, patterns,and appliances, while guiding us through some rather interesting twists and turns, which always raise part and parcel challenges to such a project. Her uncanny insights led us to quality materials, products and appliances. Phil and his foreman, Mike Hewlett are truly talented and skilled men, ALWAYS striving for, and devoted to, quality and perfection. Both Phil and Mike tirelessly applied their talents to our project, and throughout, went the extra mile to accommodate our wishes and needs.In this regard, a very special shout- out to Phil, who went well beyond the scope of his responsibilities to mitigate some shunned duties of other businesses attached to our project. Both men are more than substantially professional; they a very decent human beings, and we have the utmost respect and affection for both. Therefore, both my wife and I ENTHUSIASTICALLY recommend Cortese Construction, a proud family business which is truly an asset to Western New York.

Cortese was able to service ALL our home renovation needs and we couldnt be happier with the outcome! Their handyman division took care of all our small repairs around the house that I had been putting off (trim, drywall repair), and at a fair hourly rate.. I also got a price for a kitchen remodel- and was surprised that such a well-known company was so reasonably priced! Not only does Cortese have a quality reputation but they are keeping their prices at a fair market rate. We got two other estimates from local companies for our kitchen- both came in higher and didn’t give us the warm feeling of confidence we felt from Cortese.. We decided to go with Cortese for our kitchen revamp and the outcome was outstanding! Cortese did a complete remodel of our kitchen in our condo located in downtown Buffalo. From start to finish, we were continually impressed with the quality and service by Cortese. Nick Cortese met with us personally at all stages of the project, and ensured that every detail was to our satisfaction, treating it as if it were his own kitchen. In terms of the actual work, we could not be more happy with the quality and aesthetic of the finished project. We went with Cortese custom line of cabinets, which are top notch in terms of sturdiness and overall quality. Great care in workmanship was shown by the workman (Mike) assigned to my job and the result was very fine. My custom cabinets are a dream as are the corner lazy-susans. Philip Cortes, who oversaw the project, went out of his way to make the project move along smoothly and personally assisted me with an appliance size problem. I found that working with Corteses project manager very disturbing. He is suppose to look in on jobs but did not until i asked him to come and go over bills that i was billed in three different places for wood used for the job.. The job they did was suppose to take 2 weeks and ended up being 7 weeks.. This was due to the flooring that was ordered came in with flaws in it. That could not be helped but it was still a long going project and so sad that this was not looked into at a reasonable time factor..
