I LOVE MY NEW HAIR CUT by Hyda - its been years since I got such a fabulous cut!!!! She doesnt just use scissors, she uses other techniques to give you the cut you see in magazines that models have. This cut took years off my look - she is an artist!!!!!! My hair just falls into place with very little effort on my part because of the amazing cut she gave me!!!! All I get is compliments and I already sent others to her in just two days of getting my hair done!!!!! Not only is she talented, but, one of the nicest people Ive ever met!!! Then...... to complete my new look, Anna colored and highlighted my hair to complete my new sexy cut. Anna is a top-notch colorist - she knew exactly how to give me a warm, dimensional color to match my skin tone and haircut!!! What a wonderful team they are! Anna is so welcoming and makes you feel totally confident in her and Hydas skills that you will be 100% happy when you walk out the door- all I can say is I was transformed and I feel so good about myself! A whole new me!!! Thank you so much for everything and you know I will see you real soon!!!!!!!

I finally found a place that can give me a Manhattan haircut! I lived in Soho for 7years and recently moved here. I let my hair grow so long because I was nervous to do anything beyond a trim, but needed one desperately. I looked online, read great reviews and took a risk. So happy I did. The staff was so welcoming, and made me feel great. I felt like I was in good hands. Hayda gave me the best haircut Ive had in years. I was nervous and conservative at first but once I trusted her, I walked out looking and feeling like a million bucks. Three inches plus were cut with layers and I felt like I was back in the city with a style and a bit more of an edge. I love my haircut! Hayda is passionate and cares about her clients. She talks about current NYC fashion and how the style will best accentuate your face. Shes so generous with her time and wants to make you look and feel beautiful. Salon 51 is awesome. Thank you!

If I could give negative stars I would. First me and my mother were promised we could do color and keratin in same day. Once we arrived they said no and wed have to come back the next day to do color. We made an appointment to go back the next day at 3 and waited 3 hors just to get color when they say they dont have the color I want. Ten minutes later after making a phone call I was told they found the color I wanted. When they finished my hair, the color was no where near what I had wanted and they were so stingy with dye they didnt use nearly enough so half my head is still showing my natural color. Awful experience would never ever go back here.

I took a shot in the dark with this place . I am new to the area I walked in made my appt . My hair was down passed the middle of my back and wanted a short hair cut I must say I was scared to cut it WELL Hallda my life saver cut my hair and Im in HEAVEN with my hair . I absolutely LOVE love love it . Im am definitely going back there to get my hair done all the time as a matter of fact . My birthday is next weekend and already made another appointment to have Hallad style it before I go out

I feel beautiful right now !!! Thank you Anna :) you are Amazing, you truly are. I went into Hair Salon 51 today just for a trim of my bangs. And I ended up getting a whole new me!! My hair is red but now it has the ombré look, with a golden blonde.. So pretty!! The cut looks great as usual. Anna never ceases to amaze me. I highly recommend Hair Salon 51 , you will feel welcomed , comfortable and leave smiling looking Awesome :) thanks again

I just love the place and the staff were so warm and welcoming. I just randomly chose this place and I am glad I went there. Hayda was my stylist and she was an expert and very knowledgeable. She suggested me a manhattan chic style hair cut which I initially was not sure about how will it look on me but I am happy and glad that I listened to her advice and got an awesome hair cut .. vil definitely be going back again

It was my first time going here and all I wanted was a trim. They told me the sink wasnt working so i couldnt get my hair washed. This woman who did my hair, she did ok but wasnt great. My hair still looked the same when I came in. This is the last time I will ever go to this place. If youre living in Queens, I would recommend Corinas Nail and Hair salon. They are awesome!

Ive been going to Hairsalon 51 for 17 years!! Anna does an AMAZING JOB!! She has her whole heart in what she does best which is creating beautiful style color etc.....I get so many compliments from people all the time even strangers!! The staff is amazing also so friendly hard working and your always in for a good laugh!! You will not be disappointed!!!!

I just tried this salon randomly. What a great experience! Maria and Anna fixed my color and gave so much attention to the processs. The cut is the best Ive had in a long time.
