I remember how gross the old deli used to be but now its looks so different and soooo much better! All the food is freshly prepared so it takes a little longer then other delis but boy is the wait worth it!! The mac and cheese is delicious , and better yet it comes in a bread bowl so after youre done with the perfect gourmet Mac and cheese you get the best cheesy bread of all time! I wanted so long for this shop to open and its better then I expected! Eat there today!

The Village Hero an all around pleasant experience, from the moment I walked into the door I was greeted with immediate & attentive service. I ordered their signature mac & cheese which was an instant hit for me & my wife. We come here regularly now & its tough to decide what item is my favorite on the menu. They have variety that satisfies all cravings & leaves your pallet shouting for more. The Village Hero great job & you have just earned a regular customer.

Have a lot of good choices, location not on corner 3 other delis around the corner. I got a chicken sandwich and the chicken was almost raw couldnt eat it. Wish the quality of food was better. Tried the bacon on a egg sandwich to thick and not cooked enough. Chicken salad wasnt good. Sorry I have hope this place will get better though it is still new.

Decided to try this new deli. I ordered two sandwiches. The hungry man and tuna salad. The hungry man was dry, no ketchup and i ordered the tuna with lettuce and cheese. There was no lettuce and the roll was hard and dry. Not worth the $20.

The best heros in NY. Im addicted to the Ham and Swiss melts with honey mustard and roasted peppers. I dont know where they get their bread but its the best bread in NY period!!!
