When my husband was in Afghanistan his belongings were sent home before him in two medium sized plastic chests. I am 52" and 100lbs, do you think the 6ft tall man behind the counter would offer to help me transport the package to my vehicle, no. He handed me a dolly over the counter. A lot of help that did, I could not lift this awkward 3 foot long chest off the counter that lay at my shoulders. I then told him Id call my friend to help me, and he rudely barked "He better be here soon, were closing in 20min." There were 3 people behind the counter, 2 of them perfectly capable of helping me, but they refused. The actual Mail delivery people seem very nice, but those working behind the counter need a lesson in general courtesy. They always act like attending to your needs is such a problem when it is their job. I spent so many, many, days, mailing packages to my husband overseas, more times than not I was greeted with rudeness.

Horrible. I received a attempted delivery slip in my mailbox, and went to the post office to pick up my package. From the beginning, the employee looked confused and out of place. I waited for over 30 minutes while she attempted to locate my expressmail package, even getting help from several other employees and yet, they found nothing. I left the office with no package. Promised a phone call to follow up, and none given. I called the office, but the phone rings endlessly until an extremely loud and prolonged "beep" comes on but never turns off. Losing my mail in the actual post office is really pathetic. Making me wait for 30 minutes with no explanation is really pathetic. This post office, you guessed it, is really pathetic.

Like Bo said... the carrier supervisor, for some bizarre reason, prefers to have Priority Mail packages returned rather than have the carrier leave an Attempt to Deliver slip in your box so you can pick it up if they are not addressed EXACTLY BY THE NAME YOU HAVE ON YOUR BOX. And he was rude as could be to me, NOT explaining why he did this, when I tried to pick up the Priority Mail that could have been held for me THE SAME DAY AS THE ITEM WAS ON THE TRUCK, but not delivered under a name Ive used at the same address for 19 years!... costing me $50 to get my camera shipped by UPS so I could get it in time for a shoot!

Ithaca Post Office recently stole $400 from our mail. We paid our house sitter $400 thru the mail, yeah, stupid idea I know... Anyway the letter was picked up by an Ithaca postal worker and sent to an address in the same area and mistakenly disappeared. It has now been 3 weeks since mailing and still our house sitter has not received the $$.

Have fun trying to call them. Have fun trying to get a package, as well. If you arent waiting on your doorstep to receive it, you wont get it. It must be below the postal service to knock- This has happened numerous times. No wonder they are losing customers to Fed Ex and UPS, they just dont put in the effort. Frustrating.

Very convenient. Staff is friendly, and knowledgeable. Off hours, the presence of an automated postal kiosk allows you to post most types of letters or packages at any time, or to purchase stamps for use later. Lighting outside is substantial, which is good for the late night dropoffs. Parking is ample.

Best service I have ever received at a Post Office, hands down. Dealt with my issue with ease and incredible patience without making me feel rushed. The Post Office was also adequately staffed which is a rare site sometimes. I had a surprisingly excellent experience.

I totally disagree with the previous reviews. The people working at the post office are very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. Sure you have to wait a little while in line depending on the day and time youre there, but you are always greeted with a smile!

The customer service is very friendly and helpful and the service is always swift, no matter how packed it is. They do a very good job opening additional counters when needed to service every customer as quickly as possible.

I have been trying for days to call the post office to get information about bulk mailing. It is either busy, or it rings with no answer. I compare my feelings about them to the way I feel about US Airways!

Web site says they close at 5:30 call around 5:55 to track a package and I was told they close in 2 min and hes not going to waste his time looking for it.
