UPDATE: One year later and NOTHING has changed!! It is still HORRIBLE SERVICE. I was tracking a package and the information said "Delivered - Left with Individual" no name or information about the individual. I went into the post office to speak to the manager about the "individual" this package was supposedly left with and she had no information to offer, didnt even know who the mail carrier was for the day. I left my information with her and I called the next day, it rings out. I call today and she says "yeah, he said he left it by the door, maybe someone stole it." I said "there were three other packages by my door that day, did someone just steal that one?" She says, "Yes. if you want you can call and make a complaint." Like that will go anywhere!! I emailed the vendor to see if they can possibly resend the package, they said no because the tracking said it was delivered. Now Im out my money and have no package to show for it. Every time I go there I hear someone complaining about the same problem. Someone needs to step in and fix this, its just horrid how they operate!!! I live in the neighborhood and each time I have to go there to, take care of any business, especially package pick-up, Im met with the worst service. Theyre reluctant to help and always try to give you the run around to not do their jobs correctly. Even the manager that works on Sunday is rude and unhelpful. The only redeeming quality is that the weekday afternoon manager often comes out to see if she can assist if the line gets too long and she would ACTUALLY try to help if you seem to have lost a package.

terrible customer service. theyre always packed and always taking their sweet time. always talking to one another and making everybody wait for no reason. they work slow. whenever I ship packages with them The people I send them to always tell me they arrive damaged and ripped. (I ship canvass and other forms of art) some of my packages I ship also arrive broken and in some cases ripped open with the contents missing. I make sure to tape the hell out of my packages to so it wont keep happening but its like the mailman or whoever handles the mail/packages deliberately rips open the packages or even steps on them. this isnt a one time thing but happens almost everytime. I receive my mail and packages ripped also, or even opened up! one time I received money through the mail. the envelope was ripped in a corner and put in the wrong mailbox. thank god I live in a nice building with nice people who returned the mail to me. but the post office shouldnt be making mistakes like this. its terrible.

Great small local post office. This location is easier for me than Forest Hills and the line is way shorter even when its long. Its nice to see the same faces each time I go back and I have never had a problem with the service. One thing I do notice is the constant stream of customers, which doesnt give the front end clerks much time to pause or catch up. I do not think that customer impatience reflects the efforts of the employees who have to pace through non stop patronage. The only time Ive ever had trouble is when it rains really hard and the computers go offline, forcing the post office to close down for a day or so. Overall though, High five to the Kew Gardens post office!

My mom mailed me a birthday cake and they took forever mailing it. When they tried to drop it off no one was home but my mom never said I had to sign for it, and instead of leaving it by the door they brought it back to the post office. They wouldnt let anyone else pick it up for me and I work 9 to 5 which is also the post offices business hours. I submitted a request that they try again and this time just leave it by the door and they never showed up. And if anyone knows food its my mom. She knows that the cake already went bad! At the very least my mom reported it and got her money back but Im not a happy camper that my local post office is so irresponsible! Thats ridiculous!

My mailman Carl is wonderful. Always gives you that extra service. However I do find that the managerial staff leaves something to be desired .they mis delivered a package and were not interested in even finding out what the problem was. Gave me a phone number so I could track down the package, not my fault but I need to do the tracking. When I called to follow up or you g et a constant ringing and then a busy signal. This has not always been the case ,I dont know what has changed at this post office

The staff at the post office are rude and unyielding. You can tell theyre a government employee, because they dont care about the customers. Additionally, Ive had multiple problems with delivery. As someone else said, they notify you of an "attempted delivery" when I was home. There was noone who rang the doorbell, and, despite what the email said about "a notice," there was no paper posted.

horrible they dont answer phone calls and when you call the fifth time they answer all rude and you wait and they hang up. They arent responsible delivery things and argues saying they did when we have proof and it shows on buildings cameras. This people should get replace they hate their jobs but doesnt mean to argue with the whole community. Please replace this workers.

Extremely inconvenient hours: 9am - 5pm...works so well for them to avoid serving working people! Tight space. Long lines. Terribly slow service at a window. Indifferent supervisor. The quality of service at Kew Gardens post office reminds me of that in the former Soviet Union where a customer is nothing more than merely an annoyance. It is a shame! ! !

Ive been trying to get an appointment to renew my passport can called to ask about that. The lady was rude on the phone. She said the next available appointment is next month and I asked her what time when she put me on hold for about 20 minutes and hang up. Please dont lie to people and then dont give it to them. I live in an apartment building. Sometimes the mailman will ring my bell, Ill buzz them in, then wait for them to come upstairs. After 20 minutes Ill go downstairs only to find a missed delivery slip. Am I supposed to go downstairs? I thought a delivery is supposed to be delivered to you?

Their employees are so rude, they dont try to find any solutions for their customers. They have a unfriendly way of talking to people and they are so unprofessional. When will USPS have better people working for them? This is unbelievable..

They close at 12 PM on Saturday not 1 PM. just so you dont walk over there thinking that you got there an hour early. at least they are consistent in that they can disappoint you just like every other post office in the U.S
