The worst urps office in NYC. The Chinese woman who is supposed to be the postmaster is the most rude and nonsense person I have ever met. She is not able to recognize when one of her employees made a mistake and help the customer to fix the mistake; all the contrary, she try to argue with the customer with nonsense answers trying to made the person to feel it was his or her mistake which produce the problem. More than a month ago I send an envelope via Priority international mail. I paid $ 33.00 for it; following the instructions in the same envelope I filled out the customs form; when I went to paid for it, the clerk told me i didnt need a custom form because I was sending only documents; even I told her it was going overseas, she insisted I didnt need it; she didnt give me a tracking number neither. When I when back home, I checked the recept II notice I didnt have the tracking number, so I went back to the office to ask for one; she said because I send the letter via Priority International Mail I was not supposed to get a tracking number; plus it was already mailed. I told her that her answer was not right as it is a sign which says I could get tracking number free, even for a letter with a 47 cents stamp. She refused to give me the number and I left. Today, I when back to the post office, I even took a day off from work as the letter has not arrived yet; when it was supposed to be delivere between 6 - 10 days; i asked her to help me to find where the letter is, or to give me some kind of number that I can givel to usps customer service department, and she answered me whit the same nonsense responses. Finally, she gave me a different customer service phone number. I came back home to called them, and I find out that the letter is missing due to the lack of the customs form; but also they cannot tracked as I was supposed to have a tracking number. I even started crying over the phone, finally a supervisor took the call and filled some kind of recovery claim to see what happen with the envelope, which contains very important original documents. My point is this Chinese woman postmaster, since the first time I returned to the office, knew her clerk had made a big mistake, it was her obligation to take the phone and call whatever department is in charged of delivering that kind of mail; and speak with whoever is the supervisor in charge to provided me with the right answers; no keep arguing with me that it was my mistake the reason Why the envelope was lost; and gave three different phone numbers for me to call. She really needs a very intensive customer service, manners, and compassion training to be in that position of postmaster.

There has been several times when Ive gone to this location to ship a package, and there are at least a dozen people waiting in line, with one teller helping customers, and two others ignoring the line and walking around behind the glass, seemingly not doing anything. I would have to leave and go to the Fresh Pond Road location instead. A few times, upon arriving there a few minutes before the facility opens, attempting to try to be first in line to avoid this, I would see people entering a few minutes before the building actually opened. Upon entering, I see again, there is already a line formed, and no tellers taking customers, merely looking busy behind the glass. If youre going to decide to open the doors early, then youre deciding to be open, start taking customers if this is the case. What has actually prompted me to write a review on this facility is an issue that happened just yesterday and today. We just had a heavy snowfall this weekend, but as of Monday 1/25/2016, there is a wide, clear path spanning the entire block. Awaiting packages, I received an alert on my phone that delivery was attempted, and that a slip was left instead. Following the tracking number on the USPS website I discovered that their excuse was that the mail slot was blocked. After checking, there was no slip, nothing blocking the mail slot, our bell was not rang, so I let it go and scheduled re-delivery for today, Tuesday 1/26/2016. Today, after receiving an alert on my phone that the package was delivered I went to check, only to find our regular mail inside and three packages left on our front steps, again, our bell was not rang. YOU CANNOT LEAVE PACKAGES ON THE FRONT STEPS IN NEW YORK, for obvious reasons. Attempting to call the facility was pointless as 90% of the time the line is busy, and if it does ring, thats all that happens, nobody answers. How is it busy constantly and then doesnt get answered? They must be tired of getting complaint phone calls and just ignore the ringing at this point. Overall this facilities customer service and employees dedication to their work is awful.

Always problem with them. Incompetent people working there. For example one person on front of me bring passport as ID. usps worker said this is not ID and she cant pick up her package. Just wow. Other thing is ups, fedex, dhl always leave my parcel outside if im not home. usps never. Also i know they dont even came. They just checked somehow online and never arrived. Several times i was all day home waiting for package with open window and just saw changes online but no mailer. Yesterday i should have my package or notice. No package and no notice was left. I did reschedule delivery for today and driver dont know anything about my package even when i show tracking online on my phone. Called several times this location also and no answers. This is my last time with usps. Now ill ask seller through which shipping carrier will send package. No usps for me. Thank you.

I went to drop off a return package normally they just take it ...However this day a teller named Jayna tells me rudely that she cant take my package and i have to get on the service line ...then 5 min later another European female ask her if she can take her package and Jayna glady does and even tell the women to have a nice day I was shocked .. When i approached her I mentioned to her she deny to take mine and she was rude once again then took the package Ive come to this post office for years and never had this experience its very sad ..Great Customer service is for everyone not selected people ...Smh

They left my package in front of my door, didn t ring the bell either, sometimes they left my package in my neighbor house, and yes, we were home on that day , seriously???? They were too lazy to ring the bell and wait for 2 minutes???? If you live in maspeth area, if possible dont use this horrible usps service or you will take the risk!!! Supervisor/manager didnt help alot !!! Be prepare if you wait for your package, stand in front of your door until they deliver your package ,otherwise they will leave your package in front of your door !!!! Or install a video surveilance !!!!!

If it were possible to leave 0 stars, I would. It is NOT OK to leave packages on someones for step. Not in Maspeth. This is NOT a gated community with security & surveillance. This means, my packages show as "Delivered" yet they are nowhere to be found. Anyone can take your package & according to the sender, you have it. They give you so much run around about the missing package. I JUST WANT A NOTE IN THEIR SYSTEM STATING IT IS NOT OK, FOR PACKAGES TO BE LEFT OUTSIDE, FOR MY ADDRESS! -------Sincerely, very FRUSTRATED customer
