I only gave one star because its not possible to give zero. This post office lost my package four times already, and thrice I had to give my neighbors a package that was incorrectly delivered to my home. I had an expensive package scheduled to be delivered to my home yesterday, I checked the online tracking service and it said "delivered." I went home and the package was no where to be found, and my mom and grandmother were both home, no one knocked. I walked almost 20 blocks to this post office to let them know about. The supervisor was called to speak to me. She told me that it was delivered and showed me a picture of my package (which does not at all prove proper delivery) and was unable to provide any kind of solution. I had to make the suggestion of geotagging the photo, which the supervisor was unable to do. She then called another gentlemen, maybe another supervisor who was able to geotag the photo and show me a map that suggested the my package was delivered in the vicinity of my home. I told him that this also doesnt prove that the package was delivered to my home and that it would be there had it been delivered. The man said that it also doesnt disprove that it was delivered. I asked him, "if your delivery man in fact delivered my package to the wrong home and that person decided to keep my package, then I wouldve lost my money because of your mistake." When I said that, he said that he couldnt answer that question. They pretty much couldnt answer any of my questions. Their only concern was not accidentally admitting fault, and at no point was anyone apologetic about what I was going through. They said that they would ask the delivery man about they package, and I told them that the delivery man would never admit that he delivered the package to the wrong home. They responded that they would have to take his word for it. I left my number to have them call me when the delivery man returned and they promised to call but of course they didnt. After leaving the post office I asked around in my neighborhood to see if someone had my package and of course one of them got my package and returned it to a home they thought was mine. I went to that home and got my package. What those people from the post office didnt want to admit and apologize for was actually what happened. When you call this post office no one ever picks up the phone and if you have time and call repeatedly, youll find after the 8th call or so, that the phone will be busy and remain so. Its as if they tire of hearing the phone ring and put it off the hook. There is seriously something wrong with that post office and its a real pity that these people had to be the ones to service the Canarsie Brooklyn area.

This is the actual letter which I had written to the post office site email regarding my package which I had received. (Some of this is edited.) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- September 5, 2014 12:07 pm. NY, US Re: Package delivered by local post office. (In Brooklyn) Dear sir/madam: I had experienced one of the most nastiest things possible by a post office delivery worker: I had a sign on the door indicating to please knock. There was not any knock on the door. I had checked outside after the time of stated delivery time, nothing then was delivered. I was home all day. As I was waiting. I looked outside the door. I saw a very dirty garbage can which I had bought into the area inside the gate. The post office worker had taken the outside dirty entrance door mat with the dirty garbage container placed on top of the package. How nasty. The package contained vitamin supplements for human consumption. This is almost as food! This is a nasty thing that they do. There was another that they do. They should see the customer whom they are delivering this to rather than just leave packages outside of the residence. What is the truck drivers name and work location? Check his delivery records if he is not fudging his time and paperwork. Thank you. This is disgraceful. Yours.

Ive had my fair share of issues with this post office... 1) They seriously dont answer phones, ever. But a way to combat this is by calling Customer Care and filing a complaint. USPS is getting better with caring for their consumers. Trust me, they will get back to you ASAP. 2) Their lines are long at those "rush hour" times of the day. But they do try to combat that by having a separate line for pick ups/ pre-paid drop offs. 3) At first glance, the workers do appear to have a flat affect. But when you get up to them, their -what would seem apparent- attitude, becomes null. 4) They do not always do pick ups! There have been plenty times where I requested a priority package pick up and failed to have it picked up, YET receive an email saying it was picked up. Hmph. Confused much? Either way, I just complained to CS and received a phone call from the branch manager the next day apologizing for their lack of service. She also gave me her direct line to call in the event an instance like that happens again. Either way, this branch is OK. They get what I need done, so I cannot complain much now.

This office has brought dis-ease to my family in this neighborhood. A post woman has been throwing our mail all over the floor in front of our property, and all of a sudden we have stopped receiving mail all together .This has been going on for three months now. The post woman has made false accusations of our dog supposedly "attacking her", which is not true because our dog is restrained in the house at all times so it is impossible for her to be in danger. Our dog is also extremely loving and wouldnt hurt a fly. Weve lived in this neighborhood for 20 years, and our pet has been with us for 7 years in the house . Never in my life my family has experienced such problems , neglect, and irresponsibility regarding mail. Withholding our mail is a federal offense, and they are breaking the law. Furthermore, upon making this review and recognizing this office has a 1 star, they have earned it through poor service from the lack of fulfilling their obligations , and agreement of delivery between the people and United States.

Im really extremely disgusted with how these on foot mail guys/ladies operate. Ive been getting other people mail for the past two days. On top of that they say they came to delivery a package that I was waiting for all day and they never came here with a package. Then I did reschedule delivery for the next day and the item I purchase was not transfered for delivery that next day. This is what they do put Minorities (blacks) to work in black neighborhoods and we get the end of the stick. I bet this wouldnt happen in Manhattan. This is so sad how these people dont even pick up the phone. This postal office need to get it together. They need a whole new staff. Just because your slaving to make ends meet dont mean you bring that type of negative energy to your work place. Sickening black people!!! Its ashame
