When considering a new roof which was desperately needed for a house I bought in Roxbury, NY - Colonial was one of the names at the top of recommendation lists. So we met with Colonial and a couple of their competitors. Colonial was not only the company that presented a thorough proposal that explained in detail WHAT was being put on top of my house (a layer of this, rubber that, etc) but they were also the best price. Hiring them was a no-brainer. And, they did not disappoint! They arrived when they said they would, they got the work done when they said they would. My roof was in such bad shape, additional damage was not surprisingly found. Colonial took care of said damage, and the additional cost for that work was very reasonable. Colonial then followed up once the job was done to be sure all is well, no leaks or any problems. And all IS well. And to top it all off, they guarantee their work with a 12 year warranty. Hire them!

Very bad company. You will have to be careful about the trap in the contract. They offer a cheaper price and then charge you unexpected labor by hour. If you fail to pay the price they give you on their invoice, and then you negotiate a price with them. Then if the roof they fix leak later, they refuse to fix, even though the contract says that they guarantee to fix. The reason is that you fail to pay the invoice. I feel as if I am cheated, and I think Colonial Roofing makes the trap so that they can chage you more.

They have repaired our roof from Storm damage. They have sided our home. They have roofed our whole home this year. They have replaced our gutters and Eves. They replaced sheathing as needed.
