Only positive about this place is that they offer a set of services that most other locksmiths in the area do not offer. Only reason I give 2 stars. My most recent experience was I needed two key fobs for my car. They were the only locksmith in the area that could program them. I went in, ordered both fobs and paid for them on Tuesday. Friday I called to find out if they came in and the response was they did not and that they would call me when the key fobs arrived. I wait a week and call next Friday morning around 9am, someone takes my name and number and said they will call me back. I wait all day, no calls back and I decided to stop by the shop around 4pm. Sure enough they were there and I was told I needed to make an appointment to have them programed. I make an appointment for 10:30 AM Monday (when the tech was available) and asked if I could drop off the car and keys early in the morning because I have work. The response was I can and I was told to leave the only key I have to the car in a zip lock bag behind some bushes. Why does a lock and security place not have a secure drop box and want me to leave my ONLY keys behind some bushes??!!! I do not know. So that my car and keys are not stolen I have my wife drop the car off at 8:30am when they open on Monday. She requests that if possible they also pull the code for the keypad door lock. They said they will try and will call when the car is ready around 1230. Again, no one calls back, so my wife calls and they have not started working on the car yet and say it will be done by the end of the business day (despite my 1030 appointment). Car is finally ready around 315pm, my wife goes to pick up the car and waits in the showroom for 5-10 minutes with no one offering help. She has to return to work so she interrupts someone on the computer. Ask about the door code, no one knows that request was made. She collects the keys and leave with the car only to notice that the check engine light is on now but has to return to work and cannot take the car back. I call around 5:15pm about the check engine light and Im told need to make another appointment to have that looked at as they will not help with a problem they created since they close at 5:30pm and Im told to call when next I can make it in. I get off the phone, grab my OBD-II code scanner and get a code P2610 (internal engine off timer performance - 2 cycles). I realize that the code most likely occurred because of the two keys being programmed in succession without the car being started. Reset the code and the engine light has not come on since. Good customer service is so hard to find!!!! About 3 years ago I also went here to have copies of my car keys made since they were one of the few places that can make a laser cut key. I call and they said they can do it. I went to the shop, they came back and tell me the laser machine is not working, call back in a couple days. I call again and they say its working. I go back to the shop and again they come back and tell me its not working. I leave go home and order the keys online and get them in the mail within a week.

No Worries here. I am a facility manager at a local factory of 220 employees. For the past 3 years I have turned to Suffolk Lock and Security For everything concerning locks and security and they have never let me down. My building and systems are 20 years old and I upgraded the front entrance doors, fire alarm system, several warped emergency exit doors, burglar alarm and added an outdoor surveillance system. I also upgraded the card access system to the Brivo brand recommended by Steve their salesman. I was scared at first wondering about the bugs and getting everyone used to it. The crew at wiped out the computer bugs in a day and the system was very simple to change over to. It has layers which the top layer is easy to use. Then when I needed very specific stuff I was guided by Brivo tech help to drill down the layers to find the rare options that I needed. They also made suggestions to make access for my staff more friendly and easy to use. If you are not sure which security contractor to use. The clear choice is to give Suffolk Lock and Security the chance. They offer excellent service at a fair price for everything they offer.

Purchased a home from a bank. The bank did not provide me a key. I called this company and was informed that it was a 69.99 service charge plus labor. The dispatcher said the had their locksmith Walter in the area and would respond on his way back from a previous job. Walter responded to the job and took out a key that would require some skill to bump open the lock within 10 minutes the lock was open. (great job) 99.99$ plus service charge money well spent. Then Walter took a piece of plastic and ran it along the lower lock without trying to push open the door first and charged me an additional 49.99 .(i was sure that the lock was unlocked) In my younger years I would of took Walter to his car and sent him on his way. But I paid him and now I am posting this warning BUYER BEWARE you will be over charged by this company! Try a company that has a rating of being honest. I was ok with the service charge and the skilled labor rate. but the 49.99 plastic slide along the door put me over the top!

Went over to Suffolk lock today to get to Honda car key fobs that were not working fixed. Originally my wife called up Honda they said wed have to drop the car off for the day and it would cost over $300. Got to Suffolk lock around 10 a.m. both key fobs were reprogrammed and fixed in than an hour at half the price of what Honda dealership would have charged. Fast and friendly service would definitely recommend. Going to bring my Toyota in next week to have them troubleshoot a problem with something draining my battery.

If I could...I would give this place 0 stars!!! I stood @ the counter for 25 minutes & was completely ignored! Even after finally being told someone would be right with me (that was about 20 minutes after my arrival), I finally walked out when nobody attempted to help me after 5 more minutes. I will gladly go ANYWHERE else but here...I dont care how far I have to drive....I will NEVER give this place a dime! sorry.

I had to comment on the ONE bad review . . . the customer complained about the long wait. Im on my way there now for something and because its Saturday Im expecting that its going to be busy. Why? Because they are good at what they do and everyone knows that . . . thats why they are always busy! - LoL Thats why ALL of the other reviews are 5-Star . . . keep up the good work! ;)
