Attended an event here recently on a 90 degree day. There was no air conditioning and 200+ people. Needless to say it was unbearable! I called the owner to inquire as to why no AC and he very rudely told me that it was on that night. He later admitted it wasnt because it was broken. He then said AND I QUOTE "So what do you expect me to do about it, huh?" With an attitude like that I will NEVER hold or attend an event at the Diplomat, and I recommend that no one else does, either! The no AC was bad enough, but had he been polite, courteous and professional and sincere I wouldnt have minded as much. THAT is unacceptable though. I thought Id try calling before writing a bad review but never mind! He then told me that he has been in business for 50 years like that makes a difference. How he has stayed in business being so rude is beyond me.

We just hosted our Churchville-Chili High School Class of 65 reunion at the Diplomat Banquet Center. Hats off to especially to Jenna for working closely with us on the planning. Her suggestions helped to make for a fun-filled and memorable event. The food was great, the entire staff was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed the DJ Mike from Jimmy Cs Music Machine. Mike has a great sense of humor and played every request we threw at him. For any of you looking for a great DJ, ask for Mike when you call Jimmy Cs! We had our wedding at the Diplomat last weekend. Everything was wonderful! Both Jenna and Kaylin were easy to work with every step of the way and they were always available when I needed to meet with them. They even accommodated some of our special requests. The rest of the staff was very helpful and courteous as well. The food was excellent - it actually tasted the same as the day of the tasting! Weve heard nothing but positive comments from our guests. Overall, the Diplomat is a reasonably priced venue that went out of their way to make our day what we wanted it to be.

The best venue in Rochester for any type of event. Family owned and operated. Newly remodeled! Fabulous food whether it be a buffet or served meal. I had my wedding reception, my 25th wedding anniversary here and every family party in between. The owner allowed me to do a custom menu of all my favorite foods, it was fabulous! And the prices cant be beat. I highly recommend the Diplomat!

Diplomat was a great place for our Greater Rochester Community Passover. The food was excellent, the pricing was right and the entire night ran smoothly. This has been our fifth year and we will do it again next year. Thank to the owner and staff (Jenna) everyone we worked with us was very professional.

Had my wedding here and they were wonderful. Cant beat the prices and they were super flexible and the staff was very helpful. The place looked so beautiful on our day. The food was delicious and everyone had an amazing time. The hotel right next door was so convenient. I could not have been happier!

Dont let the neighborhood fool you. This is a wonderful place for any big event that you have in mind. The planners are accommodating to all of your suggestions, the decorators know what theyre doing, the staff is fantastic, and a hotel only 40 steps away is just icing on the proverbial cake.

Nothing special about this banquet hall. The location is convenient to get to as its right off the highway. There is lots of parking. The atmosphere is relaxed, staff works efficiently. Good place.

Mothers day brunch was amazing. The staff is top notch and the event was very well put together. It was an affordable way to make sure the mothers were well celebrated on Mothers Day.

Held a 450+ person event for work at the Diplomat (May 2016). The service, food, and accommodations were excellent! Communication was also fast and efficient. Will definitely be back!

They ran out of plates and wouldnt let anyone else eat. Had to share a plate with two other people. My friend choked on the cake because the icing was too spicy. Would not recommend.

Friendly staff, food is decent, what you would expect from popular banquet hall. 3 stars is due to their location, nothing scenic around this place.
