I have never needed to rent a storage unit before. My fiance and I were extremely nervous about it because we needed to be able to trust the facility to keep our belongings safe and at a reasonable price. We researched high and low and this facility came recommended to us by a family member.We were extremely surprised and satisfied by the professionalism and helpfulness to answer all of our questions. We made the decision to visit the storage facility, after a tour of the place and considering all of the other mediocre options we decided to entrust Global Self Storage. From day one we felt welcome, and felt that our stuff would be safe. We knew that we had picked the right place. We have since recommended the facility to many friends who are looking to move and need a place to store their belongings or just need a safe space that is at a low cost and well worth the money. We have loved our experience with Global Self Storage and would use it again if we ever needed to.

I looked at multiple storage facilities in my area in Gates NY. I needed something close to my home. I am a manufacturers Rep and our main office is in Syracuse. I have many samples for my job and needed a storage unit with 24 hour accessibility. I did a search on line and found out about Global storage. Not only is the facility only minutes from my home but having it heated in the winter, air conditioned in the summer, and being able to drive into a dry environment is a blessing. The staff is always pleasant and accommodating. The facility is always kept clean and is well lit. What a wonderful cost effective alternative to outdoor facilities or more costly rental space. I would recommend this facility to anyone.

Global Self Storage is a wonderful place to store anything. We live in Seattle and have 2 boys at Rochester Institute of Technology. Bringing their things home after each school year just isnt feasible so we found Global SS. They are fantastic, answered all of our questions, helped us feel comfortable storing things over the summer and even called to say a smaller unit would be available if the boys wanted to downsize. It is clean and well lit I felt comfortable going there alone anytime of day. It also has the perfect temperature/humidity, we have had no problems with leaving things there year around. I highly recommend Global Self Storage for any and all of your storage needs.

My fiance and I were looking for a climate controlled storage facility that was near by and featured a great price, and Global Storage met our needs. Gary was extrememly courteous and patiently answered our questions and concerns. He even took us to numerous storage rooms, so that we would be able to decide which would work for us. All of the storage units were clean and at a decent temperature despite the arctic weather that Rochester has been experiencing. Furthermore, access to the building requires a security code, which put our minds to ease. I would highly recommend Global Self Storage to anyone that is looking for a safe place to store their belongings.

First and foremost is the professionalism and kindness of the staff. Every time I step into the office is a pleasant and positive experience. Secondly, the cleanliness of the facility. They care how it looks, and that a well kept establishment directly effects their reputation. The climate control and security is another plus of this facility. With the climate control I know my personal belongings are going to stay in the best of condition. Security brings me peace of mind knowing my things are watched over to the best of their ability. Alittle pricy but you do get what you pay for helpful friendly staff and a 100% secure place to store belongings clean ever time I was there with in business hours there was always someone sweeping or cleaning no matter how little the dirt or dust be brought in by vehicles and climate controlled means climate controlled never once did I enter and it be hot or colder than the day I started my lease. And I was a day late to clear out and they understood that I was moving to a different state and didnt charge me for it even tho they legally could of thanks global storage for a great experience and if I ever needed a storage place in NY again they would get my business

I was renting two units at a different facility and my belongings were getting damp, smelly and moldy. There was a lack of security and I often felt unsafe when I had to get anything out of my units. A friend told me about Global so I went and checked it out. What a difference! All of my things fit into one unit so I am paying less money. Its remarkably clean, well lit, secure and truly climate controlled. Its so convenient to be able to drive inside the building to unload and load the vehicle. The staff are always friendly, courteous and helpful. Ive recommended Global to several people and will continue to do so.

Thank you to Gary and Paul for all their help with questions and concerns. I had a wonderful experience while had my belongs stored at Global Storage for about 3 years. My things where always safe and secure. The facilities was always clean and I felt safe coming in at any hour. When I removed my belongs from storage they were pretty much in the same condition as to when I first placed them there. I will and have recommended them to anyone looking to store their belonging, long or short-term. If I have a need for storage in the future it will be back at Global Storage in Gates!

Excellent customer service, climate control, safe, secure and convenient location. I was really impressed with the Global Self Storage at Rochester, NY. My son attends school at Rochester Institute of Technology and we were really in need of a place to store his furniture and belongings since we live far away from the school. The facility was unique and extraordinary because we were able to drive-in our vehicle inside to unload the furniture easily and in an organized manner. I highly recommend Global Self Storage at Rochester to anyone in need of a storage unit.

I needed storage immediate due to an emergency I was having after using self storage before in the past I was very skeptical of where I should go after my experience here with global self storage I will never store my things with any other place the staff was very friendly a man name Paul showed me around three different unit sizes it was super clean and he even was able to accommodate me with a unit that was close to the drive in i highly recommend this storage to anyone theyre awesome!!

Great place and well run. Issue is however the pricing increase out of no where and we had not even been there a year. The manager was nice enough to put it back down, but it was a shock that one..It happened without notice, and two... The amount it went up. We were quick shocked to say the least at the increase amount. But they are good to work with and the place, as mentioned, is well run. But pricing could become an issue and we have the smallest space the offer.
