so im new to renting storage space and i asked about pricing over the phone and whether i can have it on a certain date if i put down a deposit the girl nicole said no so then i said what if i pay in full then she said yes. when i went in the office she said its not for that certain date and that the rent would start as of today and that she miss-spoke, she did not apologize but whatever i already made my trip there so i paid about $378 for 5x5 for 3.5months. i didnt see the space beforehand so i didnt really know how timed light switch works. first day i moved in 1 box of shoes into my dark space. second day i figured i had time so i went there to drop off 3 boxes of books. i saw the light switch and turned it on for the first time. guess what i saw? mice poop. mouse fur, detached tail, mouse skull. so i complained to the office and the guy was apologetic came in with broom brushed it into a dust bin said that means the traps/poison are working. People who write these reviews.. are they really real? I honestly dont have a reason to lie. This facility is a thumbs down. They charge outrageous prices, you cannot have 24 access to your unit, the associate manager is very rude! It isnt worth it. Trust me. On top of everything I rented a unit and they told me it was a drive up unit but when I arrived it was a locker like unit far back in the warehouse where I had to use a ladder to put my heavy belongings in that didnt seem secure. I had no other option to go with it because it was last minute. But public storage is the way to go. Uncle Bobs is a joke. They try to bribe you in with free month specials but they charge insurance still and if you are 3 days late they tax a 25$ fee on top. Go at your own risk

I have been at Uncle Bobs Self Storage on University Ave since 2004. I have stayed here because of the excellent service and friendliness of the staff. I have worked with Dennis since 2006. He is always there for me when I need him and is willing to go above and beyond not only for me but for others as well. I have many friends and co-workers that use Uncle Bobs and they all have great things to say about their experience there. If you need a reliable location and staff to store some of your things. Ive been working overseas for over three years, and Uncle Bobs has done a great job storing my things in that time. Access hours are nice, and the facility has always been neat and tidy when Ive stopped in. There are quite a few carts available for use. The temperature control works well, and Ive never had any pest issues in my storage unit. My unit is always in the same shape and order that I leave it in. The staff have always been pleasant and well-informed. Overall I am very satisfied with my storage experience here.

Having been renting here for a few months now it has been a very pleasant experience. I have never had any issues with my space or its cleanliness (I have had issues at other, more "Public" storage areas). The Representatives who work here have always been very helpful to me. Kayleigh helped me originally move in and was very nice and patient with finding my right size and fit for me. I would definitely recommend this location. Thanks Uncle Bob!

Have used UBs for years. Currently have 2 units, but have had as many as 4 at one time. Dennis and his staff have been extremely helpful to us - very friendly and honest. Would recommend this location based on this experience.

great storage facility with clean units. Only issues are the inconvenient hours and the way they make you park your car inside. You have to wait for the people behind you to finish unloading before you can leave.

Renting a space at Uncle Bobs makes the whole experience seem better...nobody wants to leave their possessions in a storage area, but this location makes a person feel confident that all is in a good place !!
