I encountered an ignition problem with my car on 5/20/15. My mechanic referred me to Richmond Lock and Key for resolution to the problem. I entered the facility and met with Mike who explained what the problem was and what needed to be done to resolve it. He also explained it would take time to work on it and made me as comfortable as he could while I waited for it to be fixed. He estimated the cost and was confident in his approach to solve the issue at hand. I was glad to have been referred to this business since after this experience I know they are efficient,knowledgeable and truthful in their dealings. They helped me as quickly as possible even though they were also attending to appointments,phone calls and walk-ins like myself. They were polite and answered all of my questions. I also noticed how they were also courteous to anyone who called or walked in while I waited for my car to be fixed. Excellent customer service is a lost art today BUT this business still excels in providing excellent customer service while providing excellent resolution to the problem. I walked away feeling confident that they are fully knowledgeable in all aspects of this field of service. I will use this business again when needed and will refer family and friends when asked .

Very quick and excellent service. Had a foreign storm door lock that was irreplaceable without replacing the whole door. Took off the lock, opened it, found it needed a new leaf spring, which in my case is a custom fitted design, had no choice but to bring it in for a repair. These guys were able to custom make a new spring and had it functioning like new. This isnt exactly the cheapest job, but if youre on the fence between repairing your foreign made door lock or replacing the whole door, fixing the lock is by far a more viable option. Of course if its a American type standard lock, it wouldve been cheaper to simply replace the lock, but in my case, the lock had to be repaired or Id be shopping for a new storm door.

Great Locksmith. Bought a used 2001 jeep - it only came with one key and no remote. Mike and Billy were courteous and helpful. Made me a second key and a remote in about 10 minutes. All while answering phone calls and helping out at least 2 other people that were in shop while I was there. Price was way less then dealership quoted. Would recommend highly and plan on using again anytime I have a key problem.

Best Locksmith in Staten Island by far... Had in home work done many times, from deadbolt locks, Charlie bars, ect.. The instore service is also great, never had to bring a key back because it wasnt cut right.. Very reliable, friendly and reasonably priced... Tried other Locksmiths on the island, and none came close to Richmond lock and keys service.. Highly recommend!!!.. Thanks a Lock for your great service

Fast response time, very reasonably priced. I had my home lock rekeyed, didnt take long at all. I also got lock recommendations when inquired about replacing my current one or adding another lock to the door. Will definitely be using this locksmith again, professional and pleasant to deal with.

excellent to do business with, they were able to find a hard to locate the key blank and make it for me. I was able to email them a photo of the key I needed to duplicate to see if they had the blank so I would not have to make an unnecessary trip if they did not have it. highly recommended!

He was very efficient I was in and out within 5 minutes to have a car key with a chip duplicated. Its a little pricey but everywhere was the same price only he did it same day where others were asking for 24 hrs.
