I worked here as a student intern during my undergraduate studies, and Im sorry to the other reviewer had a horrible experience but this is my experience with the Child Care Service and my opinion. I worked with toddlers(3-5 year old), and based on my experience as intern, I have to say that the people you leave your child(ren) with are some of the most caring, knowledgeable, and responsible people I have ever met in the child care industry. Much of what I learned I still retain to this day. This includes importance of early education, NAEYC, understanding and responding to children, and overall the importance of care that a child needs, especially during this early childhood development. The environment for the child is planned out carefully and accordingly to the Program Directors specification and NAEYC standards, and is always looking for ways to keep parents involved and active in their childs life. The teachers really know what theyre doing and have been in all types of situations that a child is generally placed in, so response measures are quick, responsive, and positive to the child. If there is one thing that any parent should know about a Child Care Center, it is that almost any NAEYC Accredited institution will be good for your child, and Stony Brook Child Care is one of those accredited institutions.

My daughter has attended Stony Brook Child Care for four years and we could not be happier with the overall quality of the program and teachers. The core conept of the center is kids learn through play, including getting outside whenever possible to run around. If you are looking for a great place for your kid to flourish I would whole heartedly recommend taking a look at Stony Brook Child Care.

Only rating 5 stars so its at the top. I would NOT trust their staff with my child. One of the workers there has a social media page dedicated to smoking weed and hash oil. definitely wont be having my kids taken care of someone whos high 24/7

Horrible experience there. One day my child was left in the same diaper all day. It exploded into beads when I got there and her chart was empty for times of diaper changes.

The educational benefits my child gained at Stony Brook Child Care services are worth the cost! I work on campus and love the proximity.
