Hands down the best Autoshop ive ever experienced. I Could not recommend these guys enough. Vince and his team are fantastic, they explain everything clearly along with the reasons behind what they are doing and make it their mission to ensure you leave happy and satisfied. Shop is clean, well organised and there is a healthy mix of models and ages of cars outside from classics to new cars which is always an encouraging sign. Case and point, my 2010 VW GTI has had a persistent knocking coming from the front right for the last 2 years, during this time i have visited sunrise vw stealership on 6 separate occasions for warranty work.... after replacing everything in my suspension they could not find the source and tried to charge me $1100 dollars to replace the strut mounts and bearings ...i walked out, I came to andy and terrys after finding them online and they went over the whole car and recommended the replacement of the same parts but charged half. During the replacement vince called me and told me that they discovered another problem with the control arm mounts which he wanted to fix at the time but did not have parts in stock. He then offered to do the job afterwards at part only price (no labor) This partially solved the problem i was having but unfortunately there was still a noise coming from the car, again they stepped up and told me to bring the car in and for no charge he was going to get to the bottom of it. 3 hours later i get a call that hes found the source (poorly seated front crossmember and subframe fasteners due to a poor previous job at sunrise vw) and the car feels like new again. It is very rare to find honest, hardworking individuals in this industry and these guys are a testament to their profession. Thank you Vince and the team for giving me my car back as it should be, you have a customer for life. James

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I dropped my car off thinking that it was a place affiliated with my insurance company so I could get my gas tank fixed. The environment was very nice and I read nice reviews so I was sure that I could trust this place. I spoke with the insurance company and there was an error; I had to move my car from one shop to the next. I still planned on using this place for my own personal repairs that I had to get done aside from the gas tank as they are 4 min from my house. The insurance company spoke with the manager there (I think his name is mike he is the brown guy (he joked around with me asking if there was any good reviews about the brown guy there I hope he sees this review on his nasty attitude)) and he lied and said he WAS NOT the manager and he couldnt do anything to authorize the car leaving while his manager wasnt there and not verbally over the phone. I drove there with the insurance company over the phone and he did confirm he spoke with them. Yesterday he told me he was the manager who runs things while the owner isnt there and all of a sudden he isnt? He tried to make it seem like he didnt know what the insurance company was talking about and then he throws my keys at me like "you can take your car. " I informed him the tow was coming for it and he goes "well the keys can stay there" with a flick of his wrist. How crazy it is that when I was dropping my car to be worked on it was all good and from the moment I walked in to get the authorization to get the car towed he was rude as hell. Im happy I am moving my car from that shop and they definitely lost a future customer. If you can act like that and only want to act professional when your getting something out of it I definitely dont trust you with my car.

As always, Vince and his staff over at Andy and Terrys are the quickest, friendliest, and most efficient mechanics I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Sadly, we are moving to Texas soon but if we did stay in Valley Stream, we would be taking all of our cars present and future to these guys forever! They even helped my sister out in a pinch, who was visiting from Mass and had her car hit right in front of our house. With very little notice, they were able to look it over on a saturday morning, make sure it was okay to drive and even bent the frame back into place so she could open the door. Then, gentlemen that they are, they didnt even charge her a penny! Great guys. We will miss them!

No wonder why these guys are rated 4.8-5 stars, reputation speaks for it self. knowledgeable, professional and courteous staff. I dont know how all these people with negative reviews can say such a thing. Ive been dealing with these guys for the last 4+ years and my experience has always been great. In fact all work backed by warranty. I had shockes replaced on my 07, ACURA MDX SPORTS, Unfortunately those damn things leaked after 16 month. This was a very expensive job in a first place but Vince replaced them free of charge. If you are loooking for a good mechanic and want family like atmosphere, look no more. I will definitely recommend these guys.

These guys are the best mechanics in Long Island! No job is too big or complex. Heres my story: I purchased a car with a rebuilt title as I was trying to save a couple bucks. At the time of the purchase, the check SRS system light was on but the guy I bought from told me its probably just a sensor so I went for it. I took it to the dealer and come to find out, the wiring harness was cut and repairing would be well over $2,000. I did some research and found this amazing mechanic They had to re-wire the entire front end of the car and did the work at a fair price. If youre looking for an honest fair mechanic, go see Vince at Andy and Terry.

Dont pass this place up; its local, the customer service is A+, and they keep it 100% straight with you about whats going on with your car. In what I consider to be a stressful situation (dealing with car issues is always a headache enough on it own) having great people goes a long way. My 10 year old Honda Fit Gina took her final bow gracefully in their care after giving me more than 250k miles. Since mechanics end up being a pretty important part of your cars life and thus your life, you might as well pick the guys you can feel comfortable talking to and asking question about car things, ijs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Thanks for everything guys!

I had a great experience with these guys. From the minute I stepped into the shop until the day I walked out with my car. They took care of everything I had asked for and followed up with me every step of the way until my car was finished. Vince even waited for me even after shop had closed just so I could pick up my car because i was running late after I left work. These guys are absolute professionals and i would recommend them to everyone, My mk6 Gli is running as good as new if not better. Thanks Vince and youll definitely be seeing me again
