Our son started here at 6 weeks old and we just left at 4.5 years old so that he could enter the UPK program in Orchard Park. Our experience at this daycare has been nothing short of excellent. I toured lots of local daycares and immediately fell in love with Great Expectations. When I walked in I felt like we were ‘family’. It didn’t feel ‘corporate’ like so many other centers do. The first thing I noticed and loved was that their infant room is divided up by age into 3 rooms---one for infant to crawling, one for crawling to walking and then one from solidly walking to toddler. Many other daycare centers put all the children under 2 in one room. This leaves an infant in a room with children who are running and playing. I much preferred the focused care that our son received at this center. During our time at GE our son went through 6 rooms all of which are geared toward a very specific age group starting with infant and going up to pre-K. Our son went through many ups and downs while there---everything from food allergies and needing special feedings to behavioral issues as a pre-schooler. The owners and teachers worked with us every step of the way. People often dread the whole ‘potty training ordeal’. I’d like to say I had everything to do with it—but I didn’t. GE virtually trained him for us! By 2 years old he was going pee on the potty and by 2.5 we were done without really lifting a finger to train. They started the training at the daycare 5 days a week and we just continued it at home. It was so simple! The owners are not hired by a corporation—they own a daycare because that is their life’s purpose and you can tell in your interactions with them that they truly DO care. Lindsay-one of the owners- even has 2 children of her own that received care at the center along with my son. Many people believe that there are ‘daycares’ and there are ‘schools’. At GE this is one and the same. My son is 4.5 years old right now. He knows every upper and lower case letter by sight, can write them all on request, spell his name without prompting, knows all his colors and shapes and even points out that something is a rhombus, can count to 100 by both 1s and 10s and knows at least 100 site words…ALL before even going to pre-K. The daycare works with the kids every day on fun activities where they learn so many things- reading, math, science projects, art….all geared toward preparing them for school. We just can’t say enough good things about this daycare and the day we had to say goodbye I literally cried. I felt like we were saying goodbye to our family and that is truly what they became to us.

Ignore whoever wrote the bad review without even writing what they found was "horrible". Our daughter started at this daycare at 6 months and son started as a newborn. The infant room is just what we hoped for with individual cribs, tummy time, and enough assistants to help give our son the attention needed. The classrooms are seperated by age to help develop the childrens learning appropriately. The hallways and rooms are spotless and very clean and germ free! Everything is wiped down and everything is upto date. The instructors and assistants are phenominal and you can see the passion and pride they have in their jobs. You can tell they are not there to "collect a check" they actually want to be there and enjoy being around our children. Though never formally introduced they knew who we were before we met them and to see our children run to them when we drop them off gives us the security we need knowing our children are safe!. There is also a security door to prevent unwanted visitors and to keep the children safe as well as the learning and teaching our children has been far above our expectations. Great Expectations did all our dirty work from potty training, helping them take their first steps, to teaching them how to use a fork and color in the lines. Our childrens learning has far advanced from most children their age. At 1 years old our daughters vocabulary skills were outstanding as well as seeing that she knew nursey rhymes and the alphabet. What blew us away was that she was able to tell us her home address and phone number when she turned 2. Great expectations helps develop childrens learning and understanding and prepares them for pre-k with developing skills from sharing, to knowing the alphabet, numbers, shapes, coloring, and coordination. They even have a "parent teacher conference" every year to meet the instructors and know how our kids are developing! Great expectations is what every daycare should strive for and is beyond great! They have exceeded our expectations and we will continue to recommend this facility and send our children!

My first grader started at GE when she was 3 so completed pre-K and Kinder-Ready here. We absolutely loved the small center and even after she graduated, we kept in touch with her teachers. She was so well prepared for kindergarten last year and I am forever grateful to them for that. When I changed jobs to work from home, I decided to put my younger daughter at a home daycare close to my house. Unfortunately it didnt work out so we brought her to GE at 2.5 in the purple toddler room and couldnt be happier that we made the switch. She has grown leaps and bounds in the 3 short months weve been back. The new things shes learned, the songs she sings, the friends she talks about...its incredible to see the transformation in her. The new tadpole app is amazing too. I know what she does every single day and seeing her pictures daily, reminds me when I miss her at work, that she is loved and care for, happy and learning more then I could ever teach her at home. Plus my older daughter loves to go back when we pick up her sister to see her old "school" and all the teachers. Everything happens for a reason, and I truly believe thats what brought us back to the best daycare around. I recommend GE to everyone who is looking for a daycare or preschool. So much so that I think half my neighborhood has enrolled their kids too!!!

We moved to West Seneca a few months ago and were apprehensive about finding a daycare that met our expectations. We were immediately impressed that Great Expectations was one of the only daycares in the area to have no violations in the past two years through the Office of Child and Family Services. Upon our initial visit, we were drawn to the high quality educational program, nurturing staff and added security measures. Our 20-month old daughter absolutely loves it there and has grown so much socially and developmentally- especially in her language development. Her teachers get so excited to tell us about a new word that she learned or that she went down the slide all by herself or anything else about her day. It makes us feel so grateful that they notice every little milestone and take time to share that with us. It is evident that the teachers are truly passionate about what they do. The Tadpole app is amazing and lets us know all about the creative, engaging activities that she did throughout the day and even posts fun photos. GE has exceeded our expectations and has given us the greatest gift: peace of mind in knowing shes in a safe, nurturing place with people that love and care for her as if she were their own child.
