I decided to give this shop the benefit of the doubt because I knew it had a bad reputation. It is now under new ownership, and is also a GEICO ARX repair shop, so it eliminates much of the hassle with waiting time, getting a rental, and if they make mistakes, they warranty their work so they will repair it to fix it. Now I personally could have repaired the damage to my car myself, sourcing the needed parts, and having those I know do very good paintwork, but I simply didnt have the time. So I decided to see what would happen. The very first time I was to get my car back, I noticed they didnt use OEM parts as GEICO said they would, and GEICO instead used fairly cheap replacements. This meant an incorrect headlight. In addition, the paintwork was not the best, with lots of over-spray and they didnt let it cure or paint the edges of the hood, etc. So they realized they were wrong and apologized, and the plan was that they would fix their mistakes and I would receive my car ready in another week or so. They fixed the headlight and re-did the paintwork, but heres what I found the following week; 1) My coolant level was very low, and there was no need to touch the cooling system. Questionable 2) They drilled wood-screws into one of my bumper mounts 3) They left my HID headlight ballast hanging with electrical tape 4) They lost a number of bolts and fasteners so they used the wrong sizes. 5) My hood wasnt aligned properly so it wouldnt latch correctly. 6) The bent hood latch support wasnt replaced. 7) There was over-spray on my intake manifold and cowl. 8) Both of my front wheels were knicked from small careless hits. 9) My interior was filthy, when they shouldnt have even spent much time in there. 10) It looks like the car was driven more than just around the shop and repair area, as the mileage and fuel level look otherwise. I have resorted to fixing their mistakes on my own since I do not wish to further deal with them.

My Jeep Grand Cherokee was deemed "totalled" by my insurance company, but I was determined to get it repaired. Yorktown Auto Body understood that a car (to some people) is worth more than its value on paper. They took the time and care to locate the right parts and returned the Jeep to me looking almost brand new. Im not kidding, they went around the whole Jeep, polished it up, and cleaned my wheels in the process. I hope I never have to use an auto body place again, but if I do, Yorktown Auto Body will be the first place I call.

As a resident of Yorktown for years and a past customer of Yorktown Auto Body Works, I am pleased to announce that the new ownership has completely changed the shop as well as its reputation. I can not say enough about the care that the staff showed to both myself as well as my car and I would strongly encourage anyone who had poor experiences in the past to give them a second chance as you are sure to be amazed. They worked miracles on my Mercedes and made an unpleasant experience a pleasant surprise.

Only go here if you hate your car and dont care what it looks like. They worked on my car twice, I figured the first time might have been a mishap. But they screwed up the job twice in a row. They worked with me to fix the car as I expected, but I had to miss days from work and keep going back and forth. They were so sloppy to get the car done on time, it was really bad. I havent and will not go back. I rather just torch my car then go to them.
