I dropped off a laptop with a damaged screen that I had been using with an external monitor for about 3 months. Appalachian State University had inspected the computer for repair and stated it needed a new backlight (they dont repair backlights). When I picked it up a year later, the computer wouldnt even turn on. I stated that my computer was not in the same condition as drop-off i.e. it wouldnt turn on, and the rubber feet on the bottom were missing. I was told I was wrong, overcharged the amount initially stated (50 instead of 35), treated very rudely, and they blatantly lied stating that it hadnt turned on when I dropped it off, and that my motherboard was damaged. Tech support from my job had it working again in no time...no motherboard damage as The Computer Studio had exclaimed earnestly. Just a short from where he had dismantled it a not put it back together correctly. They also lied to me about the invoice, as an accountant I know that anything can be changed in QuickBooks in an instant. Unethical procedures, and a lack of integrity are standard here.

I have been using Computer Studio for over five years and recommend them highly. I travel often and for extended times to southern Africa and that puts a very high demand on computer technology. I have found Computer Studio to be savy and well-versed in both protecting my data and hardware as well as keeping me current on best-value quality software and applications. Both Pete and Stephanie are very personable and flexible, and are also very professional in servicing clients - from the computer newbie to the experienced almost techie. Rates are reasonable and service dates hold firm. Good folks, good service, good value.

Omg, the owner of this place, Stephanie Paglen, just become super hero of the year!!! In the middle of a huge project, my MacAir stopped holding a charge or being able to BE charged! In no time at all, Stephanie solved the problem and only charged me a small diagnostic fee ($35.00). On top of that, she emanates the kindest, calmest energy, something I felt immediately upon entering her shop. I would recommend Stephanie Paglen, and her computer studio, to anyone with a computer problem!

I brought my desktop computer into The Computer Studio this morning. Stephanie was able to look at it right away, gave me a price range that shed work within, and had it back in working order within a few short hours. She was very knowledgeable, professional, friendly and even helped me out to the car with my hard drive! Im so glad to have discovered The Computer Studio -- a real gem in this little mountain town!
