My first interaction with the recruiter, Alicia Foster was very enjoyable. However, there were some red flags, with adhering to times that she was to call me, she was late in contacting me after the scheduled time. Email follow-up was not very detailed, as I had to continually ask for the details/logistics of the client for a role I was scheduled for an interview. While being considered for a role with Ascendo, I was impressed with professionalism, warm welcome, and cleanliness/presentation of their office. Alicia was very friendly and quick to find a client that would fit my needs. After I interviewed with the client, there was miscommunication/confusion. This is where things went down south-quickly! To begin, I was offered the position, but had misspoke and said I would be available sooner than I be able to begin the assignment. Not once did Alicia state the role would need to be filled immediately. She simply asked me about the role, inquired about my interests for the role, and set up the interview. After interviewing, they loved me, my experience, and felt I would be a great, and therefore offered me the position. I was not able to start as soon as they (Ascendo/Client) wanted, and this is when things got ugly- in less than 5minutes. So Alicia begins to question what I have planned during the week that would prohibit me from starting--that is my personal business. As a job seeker, I have the right to decide what date I am available to work. If I am not available when the client needs me, it was not meant to be, and I am ok with that. It simply means I will wait for another door to be opened. What really made me dislike the service, approach, and overall experience is that Kerry McJunkin Melker set the tone that Ascendo is a firm that wants you to do what they say- or else. Kerrys approach when calling me to inquire why I could not start as soon as they wanted me to. Kerry then went on and with a very brash tone, asked me what was that I had going on that I could not start as soon as they needed me. My response was, I have some personal things I need to take care of, and I can start the following week. I guess that wasnt good enough, as Kerry responded with a sarcastic statement of, have a nice vacation, Ronald. I was left with the impression that they felt I was their only resort, or only option in finding opportunities. All in all, I feel Ascendo is a great staffing firm, and may have great staff. Kerry McJunkin Melker just made a really bad experience for me in dealing with Ascendo resources. For those that are seeking employment, be aware of what could happen if you are not available for an assignment as soon as they desire. I will continue to work with the staffing leaders in Charlotte, NC that have proven to care about their candidates, and have great relationships with their clients, as well as provide awesome career opportunities! Go !!!!!!!!--> Accounting Principals, Randstad, Sherpa, Accountemps, CRG Workforce, Kelly Services, Aerotek, Linium, etc.

I wish I could give them ZERO STARS, but I guess Google feels sorry for them. I was given multiple interviews and told to lie on my resume. Which, obviously, didnt work. Lying is not the way to go. They are a complete waste of time and they will blame you if you dont get a job. I believe they get paid just to set up interviews and waste your gas money and time. Do not trust people who want you to lie. They will probably deny it but thats okay. I have plenty of emails I can screenshot and post here for the world to see. Terrible communication and just a bunch of liars. I will not list the names of the people I worked with in hopes that they will get their sh** together and learn to actually care for people and do good. But to anyone looking for a job, DO NOT GO TO ASCENDO. There are plenty of staffing companies who will give you a professional, high paying job without all the bs. Ascendo thinks they are the only ones who can get you a high quality job with great pay, but theyre not. Goodluck in your job search!

If youre looking for a career and not just a job I would highly recommend contacting Ascendo Resources. I met with Executive Recruiter, Kerry McJunkin Melker about a year ago and she made me feel like family and not just a candidate. Kerry really took time out of her day to understand what I was searching for in a career and what my short and long terms goals were. Ive never had much luck working with recruiters because of the lack of communication. I was contacted by a recruiter here who assured me he was very big on communication and would find something for me. After going in to meet with him to discuss the opportunities he thought Id be great for I never heard anything from him. I have contacted him twice with no response. It has been almost a month.
