I went to have a monster beard tamed and Scott did a great job. I got a haircut from Tony later and it too was top notch. It was a friendly atmosphere and the rates are fair. Im not sure what Jons (see below) problem is. There is nothing "racist" about this barber shop. There were both black and white men cutting hair and getting their haircut and the environment was nothing but relaxed and friendly. Its good to be back in a barber shop. No more Super Cuts for me.

I love this barber shop. No frills, just four chairs, two TVs, and great haircuts. I dont have a specific barber I ask for as I have never received a bad haircut from any of them. Ill walk in at lunch time and usually be in a chair within 10 minutes, if not immediately. The dont take credit cards, so make sure to stop by the ATM in the American Tobacco lobby before you go.

Solid shave and a haircut. Ambiance is great. Tony helped me out and stayed past when he would ordinarily leave to give me a straight razor shave. Also, American Tobacco is just a really cool campus — its quickly becoming one of my favorite places in Durham, and places like this are part of the reason why. Itd be nice if theyd throw a shampoo in with a shave & haircut.

I took my one year son to get his hair cut this past Sunday morning and we had a great experience! Mr.Johnathon did an excellent job with his hair! My little guy was not fussy or annoyed throughout the duration of the cut. Maybe it was because he had two lollipops while sitting in the chair and watching the news! We will definitely come back for the great service!

These guys are horrible. went in today, had a crappy haircut and during the shave, the man in charge (white guy) cut me over 6 times. got comments about "who cut you?" the rest of the day. Not to mention the service does seem somewhat racist, speaking as a minority. I created a profile just to say how horrible the service was.

Great cut, good straight shave. I shave with a straight at home, and Tony really went a step beyond in pampering me as a client. Nothing crazy, but creams and warm towels and good stuff. Really friendly, solid conversation that never felt forced. Very pleased, and eager to return next time I turn into a sasquatch!

I had a great experience getting my hair cut. It was done perfectly to my specifications and they were very friendly. The prices were also very reasonable. A great place that I would recommend to anybody. My one criticism is that I wish you could make appointments for Saturdays.
