The perfect professional haircut every time. I highly recommend Suzy, she is amazing, professional, and expertly skilled at sculpting mens hair. Ive been coming there for a while, and have Never been disappointed. Nor have I received a trim only to notice a few days later that there were some inconsistencies. If youre like me, and have an eye for the detail of your haircut, you will be happy you went to see Suzy. In order to say something specific about the waiting area Id have to actually be waiting around in it, so Im not too sure how amenable it is, otherwise, Ive seen peanuts, leather chairs, water, coffee, and plenty of interesting magazines. Each actual cutting station is isolated in a little cubby with pony walls, and each one has its own washing station and small t.v. if youre interested in watching it. The chair is leather and comfortable, and from start to finish it is a good experience in getting your hairs cut, total time for cut clean and style is about 20 min. As a side note: If you are in need of a haircut this place does, and will, take walk-ins, but for crap sakes this is 2015, get on your smartphone, find the number, call and make a last minute appointment, IT IS NOT DIFFICULT. Every time I go I make an appointment, even if it is last minute. I have Never waited more than 4 minutes. Ever, even when Im early. One more thing, Suzy can cut childrens hair like some kind of super hero. I took my 1yr old son in here just to get his mini-mullet trimmed up, and she handled it without breaking a sweat.... keeping in mind this is NOT a small childs haircut place, I am truly grateful that she was able to accommodate us, and I know my wife will be happy with the results as well.

Young blonde woman made sure I walked in front of her to and from her cutting cubicle. The implication was obvious. If I wasnt so discombobulated by the unexpected directions - I would have said something. At the cash registered I mentally struggled with the notion of giving her no tip. But Ive never *not* tipped someone. Wound up giving a smaller than my usual tip. Now I wish Id given her none! Wont be going back there. Her reason was not only obvious but embarrassing and offensive! Other stylists have always led me to the cubicle. They had no issues of being in front and "in view". EDIT: in response to owners response: Its good that you respond to all the negative reviews. Although the pattern of your responses is predominately summarized as "hmmm... Im sorry you feel that way - but I dont think so". But Id expect the owners responses to be a bit biased. I come from a generation where we allow the lady to go first. Plus in an establishment designed for the relaxation of men - we dont want to think "uh she said 3rd cuby on the right". Just lead the way and Ill follow. And on the way back she was closer to the cuby door and I stood there waiting for her to pass thru. But her body language and tone when she said "you go first. Ill follow" may it obvious that this was intentional for a reason. She just didnt want me "checking her out" as she walked in front! Plain and simple. Wonder if she does the same to young attractive guys - and not to just old fat ones like me... Doesnt matter. Im done.

I came by Wednesday (1/6/2016) w/ a messy mop of hair. I usually forget to get a haircut for months, sometimes b/c Im busy, sometimes b/c I dont trust too many hair salons. I walked in and signed my name on the waitlist, sat in the lounge for about 5 minutes w/ 3 or 4 other gentlemen waiting as well. They had sports magazines, Highlights magazines, as well as big picture books full of different hairstyles for clueless men who dont know what style they want(i.e. me). Comfy couch chairs, and even a few buckets of peanuts if youre waiting w/ an appetite. I got called up and grabbed one of the picture books w/ me to show my stylist, Priscilla, a couple ideas of what I wanted my hair to look like. She was kind and gave lots of helpful advice on what we could do. When someone knows more than you, its best to listen more than demand. Priscilla cut and chatted the whole way through, giving ample focus to both tasks. We talked a bit about the holidays and college, and I had a real blast. Before I knew it, she had given me the best haircut I ever did see on me. She asked if I wanted to put some gel through it. I could see she was really excited about giving me that gel. Always open to things, I said "why not?" Ive never been too much of a fan of hair product, but it wasnt half bad. After she washed my hair(better than Ive ever done) and gave a mesmerizing massage, I rose out of my chair and into heaven. I thanked Priscilla w/ and handshake and a $5 tip and went off to brag about my bwst haircut ever.

I come here every two weeks to maintain a short haircut and its perfect. Good value without sacrificing quality, comfy chairs and free peanuts and coffee! Good mens selection of periodicals and espn. Theres also the programming of your choice provided at each haircut station while you are having your hair done. The best feature is the staff, always have had a good experience and friendly service. The best was when I discovered Priscilla. She always has the laser focused expertise you would expect and the perfectionist attitude you would want. You will always find a good conversation with her to take your mind off the relentless daily grind and day-to-day stresses. Her best quality is her dedication to her customers and how she will take her time to spoil you with the most relaxing experience and quality haircut, not simply get you out the door. Thanks Priscilla cant wait to see you again.

Ive been getting my hair cut here for a couple of years now. The first time I got a haircut, I didnt know what I wanted but after consulting with the Hair stylist, Heidi (Im not sure if I spelled her name right!), she impressed me with a great haircut, only using a razor! Ive requested Heidi ever since my first haircut, because she listens, shes great at conversation, and shes just a ton of fun to get your hair cut with. This last time I got my hair cut, I wanted a Neymar (soccer player) haircut. I showed her a couple of pictures and we talked through what exactly I wanted. I came out with an amazing haircut! Besides the haircut, I really like the ambiance. Each seat has its own booth, so they really put all their focus on you. If theres a line to get a haircut, Ill get a small cup of their complementary coffee and a few peanuts and chill until someone calls me. Great place!!

Just went in for a haircut that didnt happen. I called for an appointment with Heidi and confirmed for 12:20. I showed up 5 minutes early. By 12:40 I still hadnt been seen. I talked to the manager at the front desk and she basically said too bad and didnt care. I couldnt wait any longer. What I found out is that they book appointments 20 minutes apart. They allow a 5 minute "grace" period for customers. My haircuts always take 25 - 30 minutes. So if you make an appointment, you can count on them being late, NOT committing to the appointment time or trying to resolve the issue with you. I really like the stylist Heidi because she gives a great haircut. But the management of Guys Place is horrible. The same thing happened to me in the Fuquay-Varina location. I recommend not giving them your business. They do not appreciate it.
