Barriskill is extremely professional! The teachers, staff and other parents have become an extended part of our family! The wonderful teachers at Barriskill started off being playful in the classroom when my daughter was younger to giving her firm guidance and structure. I have seen my daughter grow tremendously over the years with their love and support. One of the reviews said that she was charged $240 for a class and that is absolutely not true (but if it were, it would be worth it depending on hours)! My daughter is in multiple classes, has worked really hard to climb levels, is there several days and we do not pay that... definitely not over $200!! If you want to check out tuition, the prices are listed online. They offer considerable price cuts the more classes you take!! The costumes are reasonably priced and they are completely transparent on their website. If no one is at the front desk when you walk in, they are just busy with a student... they take care of your precious babies. Come join us!

My 5-yr old daughter and I have been looking for the perfect dance school and Barriskill has met every need and expectation we had. We recently went and had a free trial class. The front desk was extremely helpful with any questions I had. The associates next door in the uniform store were also very helpful and full of knowledge that they had no problem sharing with me when asked for suggestions. The teacher was very good at keeping their attention. The other students were very welcoming and when they started to practice for the recital they made kept eyes on her and helped her with her poses and placement. I met other parents who were also very welcoming and had nothing but praises about the school. I cant wait for her Summer class to start in July and Ive already picked a class for her to start in the Fall as well!

I would not recommend this studio for small dancers. The price is very high for the skill of talent the teachers have. On top of paying $240 a mth for classes, I was charged for costumes, and then was not given ANY free tickets for the recital. The recital was priced at $15 a person. So even though a parent pays every month for classes, and costumes, and registration you cannot attend the show unless you pay. There are 4 people in my home and my daughters shows are scheduled a month apart. So my family would be required to pay $45 twice in 1 month. There is never any real staff on duty to speak with, and my smallest daughter played more in her class than danced. We will not return for sure.

I was young when I did a few classes after feeling like the studio I was currently at wasnt advancing quickly enough for my talent, I was four and I decided to try Barriskill and the teacher yelled at me and wouldnt let us talk. If we talked we had to leave the class. It was a really bad experience. But my friends who still go there say its super fun. I had a bad experience. But I think I would give it another chance, having been in a sport where things are a lot tougher with coaches yelling at you (cheerleading!!) but I love it, I would give Barriskill another chance, but first time, I had a really bad experience and left crying!!

Every studio has its flaws...but bareskill has a lot less. I love dancing there it has amazing dances so many different classes lots of amazing people, a good environment, last but not least the kids they are always getting a long and they are so creative:)

High quality instructors and staff! Highly recommended! Great dance curriculum for children and adults. A wide variety of dance classes offered - including ballet, jazz, broadway, salsa, yoga, tap and much more!!
