I was in there recently and was appalled at the way they spoke to a truck driver. Literally cussing him out for not helping unload there products. Never have I been somewhere and heard a manager saying F you, f this, f that, especially in front of customers. He even told them to take their time just to waste the truckers time, to punish him for not helping. The man never cussed them back just asked him not to cuss. My husband is a truck driver and I was sick at the way this man was treated. I will never be back. I hate that I ever spent money there. I spoke to the driver he said he would have helped but they came up cussing him demanding he help before he even got outbox the truck. They didnt pay extra for the driver to help so I understand with the way they spoke to him he wouldnt help. They would have nothing on their shelves without truckers! Learn some respect.

Today, April 2nd 2017 I went to A Growing Concern to purchase a white clematis. When I got there I noticed there were no plant tags identifying information on how tall or wide the plant would eventually get. I brought the clematis inside to the checkout and saw a man and asked him if he could give me some information on the plant and he did. Then I asked him a simple question as to what color the blooms would be on another variety of clematis outside and this is what he said..."Man, I dont know as if I am making any money on these plants as it is. I should be charging at least $40 or $50 for a plant that size. The only reason I cant is because there are no blooms on them". Awfullllllll customer service, and the irony is that he definately will not ever make any money off of me in the future because of it. Its a shame because I would have returned, not anymore.

A Growing Concern is a play on words since the CONCERN is not there. We have been to this business 3-4 times and purchase $1,000 + plants. 3 plants as part of that did not make it. From time we walked in with the dead plants they were in protection mode. Reading their disclaimer and challenging whether we had water the plants. No other plants died and they were fine for 3 months, then they died. The owner & wife offered half off, but we know we did what was required for those plants and know they should have been replaced. They refused. Good business dictates you work with customers--you do not make them feel as if they are bad people who did not take of your plants. We left the sticks and will not go back to such UNCONCERED proprietors .

I purchased several green giant screening plants and had Rorie plant them. I went back to purchase more but the owner, Chuck, complained about losing money on my plantings and would only do more at a substantially higher cost. When questioned about this, Chuck became angry, he appeared to have been drinking alcohol, and asked me to leave, that I was keeping him after hours. Recently I learned that the trees were not spaced properly,. Rorie had planted these potentially 60 foot trees 4 1/2 feet apart! They should at minimum be 8 feet apart. I contacted the nursery and spoke with Chuck who refused to do anything about it. Little to no customer service here past the sale! What comes around goes around Chuck.

Great nursery! The owner Chuck and his staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. All trees, bushes and flowers looks very healthy and well cared for. There are many unique and interesting varieties to choose from. My wife and I have been customers for years and our yard looks stunning thanks for this nursery. Keep up a great job guys!!

Im surprised by the negative reviews - I go here at least once a month and have never had a bad experience. The prices are reasonable and they have a very good selection. The staff has always been able to answer my questions and have been quite friendly and forthcoming.

Plants are not nearly as nicely kept up as they used to be & service is poor. Plus if theres a problem with your purchase its YOUR problem! Snobby help if you can get help.
