I bought a house by a local builder that was a "spec" home for around 9-10 months before I purchased it. During my warranty period I noticed that some of the glides on my drawers were not functioning correctly. Also, a couple of the doors would not sit flush against the cabinet itself. My builder contacted 1st Choice Cabinetry, the cabinet company that did the original install. Apparently the manufacturers warranty had lapsed, however the team from the cabinet company came out for free to see what was going on. The gentleman that came out swapped out two sets of glides on my drawers and reseated the others so they would work as they should. As for the doors, they could not be pulled in any closer to the cabinets, so they reordered them, at no cost to myself. I do not know if that is standard procedure for them or not, but I felt like I got special treatment.

Their website claims that "At 1st Choice Cabinetry, we believe the first step toward a successful project is building strong relationships with customers." We have been dealing with one of their representatives, John Adair, and I can assure you that is not what he conveys. He was gruff, dismissive, and generally disrespectful when we initially discussed what we wanted. That translated into him delivering a desk that was unusable because of chair clearance, another desk that did not meet the specifications given, and a microwave cabinet that was not what was depicted/discussed. On top of that, he was late for meetings. Both my wife and I found him insulting and unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and find a cabinet company that values their customers.

NO stars. I paid 1st Choice over $20,000 for cabinets in my new house in 2006. Today the surrounds around the kitchen doors are fading to a yellow and no longer match the white doors. I called...a guy came out. Said another company did the surrounds and he didnt know if they were even in business anymore....maybe I should contact them. I did not pay THAT OTHER COMPANY, I paid 1st Choice. He left my house 3 weeks ago and Ive heard nothing back. Companies who cannot (will not) back up their good do not need to be in business. DO NOT USE 1ST CHOICE IN RALEIGH

We remodeled our tack room in our barn, and went to 1st Choice Cabinetry. They have the best showroom and selection of cabinetry in the Triangle! The service was super, the design was excellent, and we purchased a nice rustic hickory raised panel door which fit perfectly in our tack room. The cabinetry came in on time and the installation went very smoothly. We have had many compliments on our cabinetry and have referred many customers to 1st Choice Cabinetry. They are the best!

Jeff Wertz, Chris and their team did a great job making sure we were happy with all aspects of our installation. They were on time and were very professional. They also made sure that every minor detail was covered and went above and beyond to make sure the product was installed to last. I can be a very picky person when it comes to minor details. I have nothing but great things to say about 1st Choice. I am a General Contractor and I have used 1st Choice for all of my homes, including my personal home. The customer service is outstanding, but the installation is where they shine in my eyes. I never have to worry about my clients being impressed, it goes without saying. If you are doing a remodel, or custom building, 1st Choice should be your first choice.

If you want to get run off the road and tailgated by this companies drivers because they are in such a rush to get somewhere, hire them. If not stay away, maybe when someone gets seriously hurt because of the way their drivers are driving and they get sued theyll do something about it! Cant say anything about their cabinets, but I wont be using them!!

We have been so happy with 1st Choice Cabinetry! We shopped around and felt like we got the most for our money here. All of the staff we worked with were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond again and again. I really couldnt say enough about how happy weve been with them. If we ever needed cabinets again, Id be back in a flash!
