This is my first experience at this location. They have a price list for cleaning different types of clothing, however, they purposely leave OFF the total cost from your drop-off ticket, in case they want to charge you extra for any article of clothing. Not such a big deal, however, it should be explained, upfront, that they will charge you extra if any clothing item needs special attention. Likewise, extra charges should be explained to you when you pick your clothing UP. When I picked up my first drop-off at this location, I was given the total, but the cashier did NOT explain the extra charges I received. Nothing was itemized on the ticket - there was just price and that was the total. A dry-cleaning ticket without an itemized list of charge is NOT a very customer-friendly receipt. It seems to say "This is the total of your dry cleaning and we dont really need to explain the costs to you because, well, you owe us and theres nothing you can do about so you may as well just pay and get the hell out of here..." . I dropped off more clothing again that day, and realized that this 2nd drop-off ticket ALSO did not have a total for my drop-off. That is when I realized that they leave off the total on purpose in case they want to charge you more for any item that needs extra attention. Other than that, the clothing for my 1st drop-off was ready on time the day I picked it up and the clothing was pressed nicely. The cashier (about 5"7, blonde) was nice. I will return to Medlin-Davis in WF but only because they happen to be the best out of the worst - most cleaners in the Tri-area have receive mediocre-to-poor reviews on Yelp and Google, INCLUDING Medlin-Davis. However, the Medlin-Davis reviews were the most favorable. Amongst all the reviews for MD, there was a consensus that Medlin-Davis is too pricey and has questionable practices when it comes to charging customers in general... Ive confirmed - its true.

I used their delivery service, they lost my items, and refuse to take responsibility. They claim to have deliver them, yet the only other person who lives with me was home when the delivery supposedly happened, and no items were actually received. Considering the delivery "occured" at 10am, at a Wakefield neighborhood, I seriously doubt someone just walked to my door to take a button down shirt and a pair of dress pants. Specially because my Dad religiously takes the dog out to potty at 10:30am, and there was nothing there. I lived here for 6 years and other deliveries/packages are constantly left at the door, yet I have NEVER gotten anything taken or stolen. I seriously doubt this was the case with my dry cleaning. They either delivered it wrong or lost it, and are now trying to claim that they delivered it. They sure did not! Also, their front desk staff are incapable of following instructions. I took a military uniform and ask for it not to be pressed (only cleaned), as I know must places around here do not know how to do it (this is not a military town). Instead of respecting my request, they destroyed the established pressing and replaced it with their own, which was of course, WRONG! My fiance had to start from scratch and iron the entire thing properly. Pretty much, they are useless, and do not care about their customers one bit!

AWFUL- Do NOT take your comforter here. I took my new comforter to Medlin Davis Wakefield to have it professionally cleaned . I have only had the comforter for 3 months and it had never been washed before or cleaned anywhere else. When I picked it up they gave it to me in a bag with a big hole in it which was not a huge deal but when I got it home and took it out of the bag it smelled RANK. Like a stinky rotten feet smell, and then when I put the comforter on my bed in hopes that it would air out I noticed that it was extremely LUMPY and had some stitches in it that were not there before. I called the manager who had me bring it back in, and leave it with her. She said she would have the owner look at it and that she would call me the next day. 3 days later she called and she told me they would fix it. Im not sure how something like that can be fixed. You cant un-do a tear and rip that was stitched up. I assumed they would reimburse me for the ruined comforter and asked her if she could look in to that possibility. She was going to call me back but I never got a call back this time. Instead I got an email saying that my comforter was ready to be picked up again. So basically I paid $33.00 to have my comforter ruined and they never resolved the problem.

My first time to Medlin-Davis won’t be my last time! I brought them a 33 year old, very yellow and stained wedding dress to clean. I really just wanted the stains out so that I could have the dress re-purposed and make something from it for my daughter’s future wedding - I had no expectations that it would come back to me “perfect”, just wanted it cleaned… Well, the dress came back looking like it did 33 years ago!! So now my problem is, to decide if I have the heart to take scissors to it and surprise my daughter with a pillow and/or bag for her big day, or see if I can convince her to wear the dress herself!! Thanks to Minnie for understanding my issue, making sure the dress was well cared for and came out beautiful, and to do it all quickly and at a affordable price!! Rhonda Misciagna Wake Forest

WOW!!! WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!! JUST MOVED TO WAKEFIELD AND NEEDED MY SHIRT PRESSED AND STARCHED FOR THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY AND FOUND MEDLIN-DAVIS. I ROLLED UP, DROPPED IT OFF AT THE DRIVE-THRU..AND PICKED IT UP THE NEXT DAY JUST BEFORE WORK..GREAT JOB, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND VERY FAIR PRICE..I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO ALL

I appreciated on promised time turn around. I liked the email notification. Quick, polite, and responsive at drop off and pick up. She gave me the price sheet at drop off. I would consider it a better practice to tell me what the exact cost would be at pick up. Overall positive experience

Medlin Davis is the only place Ill take my dry cleaning and laundry. They do great work and their customer service is exceptional. Have been going to the Wakefield location since moving here over 3 years ago. Wont go anywhere else. Minnie Lou keeps me coming back. Highly recommend them.

Every staff member of Medlin Davis is extremely professional and always greet us with a warm smile even on the coldest, gloomiest of days. Weve tried other Cleaners but always go back to Medlin Davis...Where else can you find someone like Minnie Lou and Aspen :-)

The Wakefield location was amazing. They preserved my wedding dress (which is expensive to do), and made sure to tell me about the $25 coupon I could get if I filled out the application online. It was done in no time and the lady was very helpful and friendly.

What really separates this cleaners from all the others is its great customer service, attention to detail and eco-friendly commitment. In my opinion, they are the most professional cleaners that stand behind there work.

Great service. Shirts were starched and pressed expertly. Very expensive compared to other laundries offering the same quality and service (about 50% more). Thats the reason for four stars instead of 5.
