Wooed by another stylist at another salon for way too long. I stopped in to speak with a long trusted and creative stylist and owner of NK Salon today and left a convert. This salon is not like others so leave those expectations at the door step. This salon is transformational if you allow it. I wasnt quite ready for the beauty and sexy that they delivered (my hangup, not theirs) and asked them to dial it back a bit. These people are karma based, they give their best knowing they are never going to please everybody, all the time - and that is just how it is. I wont be returning to the attitude, inflated prices, long wait times, ... I was putting up with again. NK Salon, I will see you in the setting that isnt suburban perfection but makes you happy and bring out your creative edge again in a couple of months!

This was the first hair salon I tried as a UC freshman. Where to start....when you walk in you do not feel welcomed. My overall impression is that they are very rude. I would never let the man hair stylist who owns the place cut my hair again! When I went in I had long hair that was below my chest...I asked for just a trim...then he decided to go to town on my long hair because he decided he wanted to cut it so it was a little longer than shoulder length!!! That is not a trim!!!! Please dont trust these people with scissors around your hair!

The owner (Nasser) is sassy but he knows what hes doing. If you tell him you want your hair cut a certain way, hell do it but if its not the best look for you he wont be afraid to tell you. Hes been cutting hair for years and years, heck, its HIS SALON. He cut and styled my hair in 15 minutes, and its absolutely perfect. If you tell him to "do what it wants" you will come out with a perfect haircut that fits you. Trust him with your hair, you wont regret it.

DO NOT GO HERE! After specifically telling the guy not to give me layers, he told me I didnt understand what layers were, and began chopping away at my hair. He cut more than two and 1/2 inches off when all I asked for was a 1 trim. Then, he left and when he came back he began dying my hair (I did not ask for my hair to be dyed). So now I have a haircut I hate, and my blonde hair is now brown.

First impression was not good, the workers were just sitting on a couch talking, not a friendly greeting and there was hair from previous customers laying on the floor. While cutting my hair the owner or worker was on the phone for over half the haircut. Did not trim my neck and also missed spots over my ears. Only reason I give 2 stars is because it is easy to just walk in and get a haircut.

The Owner who goes by N K was very rude. After dying my hair completely different than I asked, I made a comment on how it wasnt what I wanted. He responeded with rude comments about my hairstyle. I called the next day to arrange for my hair to be fixed and he hung up on me twice and called me some very inappropriate words. I will not be returning and wouldnt recommend this salon to anyone.

Its not the place for the uptight and bitchy but if you want a good haircut or tanning close to campus this is the place. And the talk can at time get a little saucy so if you are easily offended this place could send you screaming for the nearest Bo-Rics

I wanted to get a simple haircut, but the guy who works there/maybe owns the place, told me what I wanted was BORING! and then pushed me to get layers. He took advantage of my passive personality and gave me a drastic haircut that I hate.

first experience will be a bit awkward- theyre not rude... but definitely not friendly. I kept going back because the cost is so low and its easy to just pop in and out. (tan only, never did hair)

I love Naseer!!! He has the magic touch with the scissors and dont waste time in having me in and out. Hes been cutting hair for years and I know my hair will be fabulous when hes finished.

I love my haircut and I always get compliments. Also, NK Salon allows walk-ins. To make things easy, I just call while Im on my way. I highly recommend it.
