After researching/shopping/comparing countertops we settled on granite, but discounted everything our designer suggested because it was schist (scratched easily). We found "Canyon Dawn" at Sims-Lohman and since the hardness factor was of primary concern, we quizzed sales person Darlene Bossert more than once on this and were assured that only a diamond or another piece of granite could scratch it, and that it could withstand direct heat. Imagine our surprise after installation when knives, keys, etc not only scratched it, but it cracked from a heat source sitting an inch above it. They returned once to buff out the scratches while they were replacing a small chunk that was sloppily installed, and later promised to return to check on addtl scratches/the crack. After mths of inaction, we reported the problem to the BBB; their response was that Darlene denied to the president of the co. that she made these stmts to us, and they have refused to do anything more. Lousy customer service, misrepresentations about their product...look elsewhere.

Absolutely the worst bait and switch Ive ever experienced. In May 2016, we worked with a Sims-Lohman cabinet rep (Lisa) to build out a quote on a set of Kemp kitchen cabinets. We were very satisfied with the design and the price point. We made a few design changes, which Lisa described as no or minimal charge (or cost-savings, like eliminating custom color). I expected a 10% bump in the bid due to this. When we received the final bid (TWO MONTHS LATER!!!), it was a 53% bump in price. We wasted no time asking for an itemized bid, since this was unacceptable. Apparently, Lisa had left out TONS of stuff in the initial quote, like FINISHING THE CABINETS. After speaking with her manager, Wade, we were informed "sorry for your inconvenience". INCONVENIENCE? Close to fraudulent is more like it. Horrid customer service, incompetent sales staff, and the audacity to waste two months of our design time and dollars. I totally feel like Sims will say anything to get your business, and not honor any of it. Shameful.

We went to several other stores including some big box stores and found yours to be exceptional in every way. Your attitudes about our choosing the slab we really liked was very positive. Our guide was very patient and was very detailed as to what to expect. Not only was the service at the store great, but when the measurements were taken and the counter installed, they were ALL very professional and courteous. On top of that, the counter top looked fantastic! It looks wonderful and was very competitively priced, actually cheaper than the big box stores we visited. We absolutely LOVE our kitchen now. Thanks Granite rocks!

I have been working with Sims-Lohman and Dave Thaler for years now and they always come through. Dave has a great knowledge of the products they sell and will always give you the truth. All of my clients have enjoyed working with Dave and Sims-Lohman. One week for granite tops is the best thing since the invention of the Miter Box. Warndorf Remodel & Design, LLC

Your two teams of installers were exceptional. Talented, very polite and clean. The install job they did met all expectations. They represent your company very well. Hats off to Matt and Ben who had the challenges of making the back splashes fit into an older existing house. They were great solution providers.
