This unpretentious little salon provides great service at reasonable prices. Anita cut my eleven-year-old daughters long, thick, hard-to-cut hair. She clearly knows her work and she had a very nice manner with my daughter. Furthermore, they know how to treat their customers there. They were very welcoming and down-to-earth. I will certainly bring her back and I intend to go there for my next haircut. My daughters hair looks beautiful and we were treated very well.

I am amazed that this establishment actually requires payment for their services. I received a hair cut that had absolutely no resemblance to the cut I requested. Additionally, it was not bilaterally symmetrical. A Cut Above had the audacity to charge $30 for a butcher job. I was able to get the right and left sides close to the same length myself, though the cut itself is not at all close to what I asked for...typical amateurs.

It was a pleasant experience, 10-15 bucks cheaper than other places, until my highlights disappeared after 2nd wash. Maybe theres a reason why other salons use some sort of creams or pastes instead of some suspicious-looking powder. Needless to say, Im not going back there.

Went a couple places in the area before arriving at a cut above after moving from CA. Shop is clean and well kept, barber I go to regularly is a warm and homely individual. Became a return customer for the quality haircut at cost, and the neighborly experience.
