Im not one to write reviews, but Id like to save other people from the tragedy that occurred when I went. I called Remington and asked for a SILK PRESS, and made my appointment for the night, the woman on the phone was pleasant and nice. They asked me for my name when I walk in I tell them my name and they charge my card, I sit down and talk to the girl who was styling my hair (just making pleasantries) and I brought up the silk press that I was supposed to be getting. The girl goes out and talks to what Im thinking is their professor(white woman with short blonde hair) She then comes out and says, you cant get a silk press, they put you in for a thermal, I said well I asked for a silk press, and Id gladly pay the difference if there is one. (there was around a $3-5 difference) She told me that they couldnt change what I wanted and I had already lost my money because she had put my order in the till, and that the student who was doing my hair didnt know how to do silk presses. I didnt even argue with her because her attitude wasnt the best at all, so I just said fine Ill get the thermal. The thermal that she gave me looked terrible, my hair looked like cotton candy afterwards. There was no bounce, no life to my hair at all, and as soon as I left my hair pretty much frizzed up. I would never go there again! The attitudes were bad, the way they styled my hair was bad, just an altogether bad experience. I understand that this place has students doing hair, but some people should not be allowed to be in that school, including the professor that told me that I couldnt get a refund, or the service I originally asked for. I called to complain about the service that I got and was directed to her on the phone and I never called back. This incident happened a few months ago and I had to let people know, to not ruin your hair, and just go to a real salon or a better school.

Remington salon leaves something to be desired but if you find a great stylist( and I have found quite a few) that really want to learn and do a great job you have a great stylist for about a year and before they leave ask them to recommend someone else. I go there twice a month and try to avoid certain instructors and with the monthly specials I sometimes come out paying $13 for my hair and nails done beautifully. I know sometimes people want a professional atmosphere but theses are students and sometimes they mess up but if your willing to be patient and ask a lot of questions about the stylist you want before you pay you may come out looking like a diva on a dime.

I agree with the above review! I took my children (4 and almost 2) for the $5 hair cuts. It was not worth it!!!!! I was told a teacher would be present at all times. NOT. It took over an hour to cut their hair (they each had a different student working on them). My daughter (4) was SOAKED from her neckline to the hem of her shorts because they insisted on washing her hair. My kids have always sat well while getting their hair cut, but after an hour how can anyone sit still? It was horrible. My sons hair looked like it had been attacked by a weed whacker! I will NOT be going back. It was NOT worth the savings.

The ABSOLUTE WORST place! Extremely unprofessional. The first time I went here, they had me schedule a hair appt for the evening clinic, but when I got there they were overbooked and could not take me. They tell me this after having me wait nearly 30mins. A yr. later, I give them another chance, this time for nails. I go in and they tell me, "oh Im so sorry, we dont have any students for that." Well, why didnt you say that when I called in!?

I see that people really dislike remington. I havent been in a couple years due to my stylist graduating and moving to New Millinium. But back then I never had any problems. Realize that these people are LEARNING mistakes are almost certain to happen. Also my stylists name is Rena Clark
