I would never be going back here again for the following reasons: 1. Overpriced for yarn braids, they charged me 190 for slight past shoulder length yarn braids which came out slightly uneven and some of my ends didnt look too good.Plus when I got home, I notice that my braids were very uneven! a few strands of braids are at least 2 to 3 inches longer than the rest in the front. One of my braids are coming undone because they were being so careless. This is exactly why I fear going to braiding shops because of things like this. 2. They yank and pull on your hair and braid EXTREMELY TIGHT! Im pretty sure once I take this down, Im going to have a lot of breakage. 3. I didnt really get a friendly vibe about the place. The stylists were 99.5 percent of the time talking in native tongue (which is fine) but never tried to talked to their customers what so ever. 4. As another reviewer said, they do rip through your hair and use those metal hair clips to part your hair and their really rough with your actual hair. On 5. Did I mention they are extremely OVERPRICED for the style of hair that I got? Other than the many things I dislike about this place. I like the fact that my hair was done fairly fast (I had two people working on my hair). I also liked how fast they were able to sit people who just walked in without an appointment (I scheduled an appointment and I was also seated immediately.). The question is, will I ever go back or recommend this place? I would never go back here again because Im sure I wont have any edges left after I take this hair down. I would not recommend this place to anyone, they braid too tight and are overpriced no matter which style of hair you get.

My experience there is really indescribable. Even though they greet you when you enter, the stylists have no "personal touch". They treat you as if youre just a "number"......there to get you in and out. They were extremely LOUD in every way imaginable. They all talked at the same time CONSTANTLY. They spoke "French" mostly. However, they were unaware that I understood most of what they were saying. They re-enacted (numerous times) an event that had taken place the day before where an unhappy customers son assaulted one of the stylists which caused an injury to her hand. They used profanity, they laughed at people and they gossiped about the customers and each other. Even though they advertise experience in all types of braiding, only one stylist was willing to do my hair (crochet braids). She was quiet and probably the most professional of all of the stylists. She completed my hair within 2 hours at a cost of $120. WOW. I discovered that they really do no "styling" techniques.....simply braiding, weaving, etc. One would have to actually go to another stylist to have the crochet braids and/or weaves coiffed into a particular style. This was my first visit to the shop and the last. The shop itself was not very clean or appealing to the eye. The bathroom was worse. I recommend that you choose another shop that not only has great braiding techniques, but a clean environment, a personable touch and Customer Service skills that match.

I normally dont write reviews however after my experience i am ready to do more then write a review for example report them to the Attorney Generals Office. Before i drove 3 hours to get my hair done i read the reviews and figured i would give this shop the benefit of doubt. I traveled 3 hours to get my hair done on October 1st 2014, i normally drive to Charlotte, NC to Mawoena but i thought i would try something different and a little closer....Never Again i will continue to drive to NC, they are rude the shop is extremely loud because they talk the whole time and the quality of my senegalese where not worth $160 nor the drive. My senegalese normally last for at least 3 months and they look like i just had them done when i go to NC. My senegalese from this shop began to get frizzy the 2nd week i had them and i have lost the whole back row of my twist. I called the shop to speak with the owner, i never spoke to her and the lady i spoke with was very rude. At first she told me to come back and they would fix them then she turned around in the same sentence to ask why i waited so long to call. I told her because my twist just started to fall out. She told me she couldnt talk at the time and would call me back. Never heard from her.....I would not recommend this shop to anyone, if your willing to pay this amount of money then the least they could do is make sure it is what you are paying for....

***Attention*** If you are reading this review please find a another shop to have your hair needs fulfilled. I was very kind & curtious to these ladies at this shop. I paid for Senegalese twist and received a mixture of box braids and Senegalese twist. I am African by heritage and can speak a few languages, these women talked about me and everyone who came in the shop in their "native tounge" simply because they were ready to go home at 6pm. 2 weeks of having my twist I was forced to removed 15 twist to try to save hair that was braid entirely too tight. Ive lost some of my edge line hair and now also have a bald spot also. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP! There are plenty of other people in the Columbus area that can do a better job. Unfortunately I was fooled and choose convenience over quality, I need my hair done with in 24hrs, now I suffer the consequences of a horrible shop. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP, DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP!

So I got my Senegalese Twist done here for $190 (which I thought was overpriced) but I was desperate to get my hair done and they were "LONG" thats what the manager called it but NOT REALLY. They spoke in their native language the entire time and was really loud, they spoke french and badly about everyone, it made me uncomfortable because I knew what they were saying about people. I had 2 women do my hair so it only took 5 hours but DEFINITELY wasnt human hair. Also each and every twist was painful (this isnt my first experience with Africans braiding my hair) but it was so painful. And I have a lot of thick hair, but my edges came out so bad it upset me so much!!! The braiding quality was nice and neat but would I recommend this place??? NO, they could use some pointers on customer service the manager (light skinned lady) asked for my money way before I was half way done not knowing it I was satisfied or not they didnt seem to care.

Well i have got my hair braided by them many of times. When i first started getting my hair braided Domonique the owner use to braid my hair. Domonique is No longer living in Columbus, Ohio she has not lived in Columbus for about 7 or 8 Years. Natalie the light skin women who collects the money is the Manager and she is at fault for them braiders being disrespectful talking in French when they have American Customers and they are in America and should speak English while working in a Business in America but Natalie seems like shes their to just collect. I hope wish and Pray that Domonique see the reviews on her shops and make a change because im sick of them being disrespectful. They all No how to speak English. You ask for 1 style they give you something different and think your suppose to pay them for a style they didnt do correctly and if they cant do it then they need to speak in English and tell the truth.
