I went in last Wed (march 16th) and had a full balayage done with Nikki, it cost 190 dollars (plus a 40 dollar tip). Nikki had contacted me before my appt to see what I wanted done and I sent her a picture of what I had in mind. I brought the same picture with me and showed it to her again on Wed and she said we would be able to get pretty close to what I wanted. After she finished my hair at the salon I thought it looked okay, nothing at all like the picture I had shown her but I didnt hate it. Nikki was nice enough and Im never really one to complain so I rolled with it. After I got home and had more time to really look through my hair I was VERY unhappy. The top of my head was ashy and length was still the same golden blonde it was before (that I wanted changed), the balayage was very uneven, there are multiple chunks where its light blonde in the middle and then darker at the top and bottom. Underneath theres a very blunt line where you can see she started the balayage (not the natural feathered approach we discussed). Im never one to call back and complain but after my family and friends agreed it was very poorly done and looked nothing like the picture I called the salon on Fri. I spoke with a manager named Gabriel, I very politely expressed my concerns, he told me he was going to speak with the other managers and get back to me within the next 48 hours about what options they would offer me and he told me he was going to send an email with more information. Also he mentioned for whatever reason my appt was under a different last name, I have no idea why I put Ellie Malone on all the paper work they had me fill out. I never received an email or phone call back. So Tue I called the salon again (Im not sure who I spoke with) I explained what happened and she was apologetic and said she could schedule an adjustment with Nikki. It wasnt what I wanted (I wanted a new stylist) but I didnt want to seem too pushy so I agreed. Shortly after scheduling my adjustment I got a phone call from Nikki who instead of apologizing made the excuse of it must have been my shampoo that ruined the color (Ive been using Everyday Shea an all organic fair trade shampoo and conditioner and I love it Ive never had any problems). On Thursday my dog was hit by a car and suffered a seriously broken leg that requires surgery so I had to call and cancel my adjustment, I explained what had happened and expressed how sorry I was to have to cancel. I gave the one day notice they require for cancleations. Fri (yesterday) Nikki texted me to inform me that since I canceled I had forfeited the adjustment and if I wanted to reschedule I would have to pay for whatever I had done. Dont waste your time or money. Terrible service, terrible results.

Horrible experience. Its a horrible experience for me, with Phia salon. It started like this, I wanted to cut ma hair and color it aswell. I was so excited about it as its been more than 6months since i had cut ma hair and coloured it. I called Phia salon and spoke to Turney on 22nd of march saturday to book an appointment. I was told its fully booked for that day and was given an appointment for the next day at 6.45pm on sunday march 23rd, with Joshua. I also received a txt on 23rd march the sunday confirming the appointment details as the same which was mentioned to me by Turney. I suddenly got stuck up with something which made me realise it wud get 15min late for the appointment, hence called Phia salon, spoke to a man there, when i told him that i am gonna get late by 15min i was told that ma appointment date was march30th and not march 23rd. I really got pissed. I dont understand what makes them to send me a msg ON 23RD 4.26PM confirming my appointment date and time on 23rd when they have it for 30th. So when i told him this and also about ma conversation with turney he made me wait on the phone for a couple of mins and said it was me who called the same day at 1:09PM and postponed the appointment on march 30th which is truly insane. They have messed up the appointment dates. I dont knw wat makes them to create such a story. I then wanted to speak to their manager and spoke to Danielle, she also confirms that it was she who spoke to me and postponed the appointment on march30th with sam and not with joshua. IT WAS NOT ME WHO CALLED THEM. I was then told that she will give me some other day to get an appointment with them if am fine and questioned me regarding ma hair texture and if i had done colouring before. When i said yes, she says she has to get another senior stylist for me as it is tricky to remove ma old color and put on new color which might aswell damage ma hair.. can a reputed salon promise their customers that doing certain things will damage their hair??? if so y do they have to even try doing such things??? she also wanted me to come in person to have a check with what kinda hair and color i have and suitable color and cut will be done, now this would cost 10$ just for a preconsultation, doing nothing. SO THEN I DECIDED NOT TO GO TO SUCH A PLACE WHERE IT CAUSED ME SO MUCH HASSLE IN JUST FIXING THE APPOINTMENT. NEVER TO PHIA SALON AGAIN...... This is ma personal experience.. Henceforth they shud know who calls and make a clear record of it so that they dont get messed up with someone else who had truly taken initiatives to fix the appointment... ITS SADDDDDD.....!!!!

Due to a miscommunication error I had previously wrote a bad review about my experience at Phia. The owner reached out to me as well as a stylist and they went above and beyond to rectify the situation. I will be going in tomorrow morning to see what Annah can do for me. I was quite upset before and I truly appreciate the level of customer service that I experienced and feel as though they genuinely care about my level of satisfaction which is very important to me. Update: Annah went out of her way to speak to me on the phone about my hair, text back and forth about what kind of look I was going for, and even came in to the other salon, Philosophi TWO hours before opening to fix my hair. She even had her babysitter come early so she could tend to my hair!!! I was at the salon for quite a while and Annah worked tirelessly to fix my hair and get the look I was going for. When I didnt love something about my hair towards the end, instead of making me feel bad or awkward she was so so kind and understanding and the fix was super easy. I walked out of the salon feeling so beautiful and so happy with my hair. The owner Elizabeth spoke to me on the phone before and after my hair was done and she super nice too. They really wanted me to love my hair, Ive never had such amazing personalized service from any salon or pretty much any place in my entire life. Annah is amazingly talented and I will be going to her from now on! Oh and one thing I really love about Phia and Philosophi is that before anything is done to your hair, the stylist sits down with you and talks to you about what theyll be doing and breaks down the charges and tells you the exact cost of everything. With other salons sometimes you end up with sticker shock when the total is not what you anticipated because the stylist never bothers to tell you pricing. Overall I am so so so happy with my experience with Annah she is wonderful and I highly recommend her!
