This organization, intentionally kept my appointment, after I had cancelled it through their own online scheduling service. They texted me one hour before the appointment, stating I was expected at the previously scheduled time. Obviously, not wanting to disappoint the stylist, I showed. I explained to the stylist that what I had learned about the price, $47, was a little steep for me, and that was why I had cancelled, and she suggested I reschedule with a less expensive stylist - - -yes, after I was there! I told her no, since they had not cancelled my appointment, that I would like to go ahead, but that I would need to bring her her tip on my following payday. She reluctantly agreed, which obviously did not feel good, yet we discussed my haircut. She exhibited that she understood completely, even showing me the amount she would need to cut, and exactly where it would sit on my face. She said she understood that I did not want more layers or cut into the full, long side of my asymmetrical haircut, as well as no razors used. I could post before and after photos, and I may, but let me tell you she did exactly opposite or different from what we discussed. Over the next few days, my family, friends and co-workers, even commented that my hair style was literally ruined, and when I showed them the different levels cut into my hair, the opposite blunt cut on the short side, and the way that the texture was compromised, they suggested that the stylist did this on purpose! I lost 2 inches from the short side, where an inch was promised, and the entire style was compromised with 1) additional layers and changing the texture of my hair with her scissors or razor (Im not sure), and 2) where I had a slant or a bob, she cut my short side at the opposite angle, so that one side points down, and the other angle is cut up from the ear. You know I was just sick about this, especially at the Holidays. What is worse, is when I called the organization (I cannot call this a "salon"; salons service and care for the outcomes and satisfaction of their customers), I was told that I could not have my money back - - -only a re-cut. Obviously, I did not want to have more hair cut from my already ruined hair style. When I finally realized and accepted that I had to at least try to have it fixed (it was impossible to style), because I did not have more funds to spend at another salon, I spoke with the owner, Stephanie, and she set up a time. You know, even on the phone she was confrontive and sarcastic, and I didnt get a good feeling. When I arrived and she had me scheduled with Annette, they both literally ganged up on me to defend the haircut that was in place! They were condescending, kajoling, playing off of one another to try to put me down, and thats to say the least! I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED THIS WAY IN A SALON, OR ANY ORGANIZATION WHERE I AM SPENDING OR HAVE SPENT MY MONEY! It was extremely threatening, and I knew I did not want Annette or Stephanie, or Katie, or anyone in her organization even touching my hair again! And by the way, I dont believe these folks ever had any intention of "fixing" my hair! There is one lonely star, as I cannot post this without leaving it. Since all of the rest of their customers seems to be happy with this group, Id like to suggest you are treated the way that you are because of your money, and more than likely your residence, Powell, Ohio.

Ive tried to find the perfect salon for years and I found it at Canvas! Hands down the best color, cut and service I have ever experienced. Being a redhead, its tough to find someone who can highlight properly and make it look natural. Shawna is amazing! She asks me what Im looking for during my service and gives me exactly that. Each time she has suggested a change in my cut - Ive gone for it and been so happy with my results. The personal attention that every employee shows to their customers is outstanding. They are friendly, professional and efficient. I am not normally one to splurge on extra beauty products after my service, however, Canvas is always offering savings and the products are great. The glossing straightener has helped to tame my thick hair and make it more manageable. I highly recommend Canvas if youre looking for an all-around great salon!

GET THE WAX AND FACIAL....BEST I have EVER had! Cara is absolutely amazing and makes the whole waxing experience pleasant and comfortable...follow that up with a relaxing facial and it is heaven! I also get my hair highlighted and cut and every time it has been exactly what I have wanted! I love how open and positive it feels in the salon and how helpful the stylists are...they truly know what they are talking about and work with you on finding the look that you are looking for. I really loved the IPad they handed me and asked me to pick out a few extra complementary services...this was awesome! I had my nails painted...a mini-facial and a neck and shoulder massage...all while getting my hair highlighted! I recommend this salon to anyone looking for an amazing salon and a great environment!

Not only has this salon been my go to since it opened, but I go back time and time again because they do a wonderful job. The whole staff is more than happy to spend time on all of my hair that I have and make sure I leave looking and feeling amazing. They have never given me a reason to not come back, I would send my friends, family, and clients to this salon with hesitation. Katie has always been my go to stylist because she knows me so well and doesnt let me cut off all my hair when I "just want a new look" because she knows that I will hate myself the next week for it. Stefanie is a wonderful owner and has always been there for her staff. She has done amazingly well in her business and does her very best to make sure everyone leaves happy.

I went through Canvas for my bridal updo and my bridal partys hairstyles. Everyones hair looked AMAZING! I had 2 trials with Maddy because I changed my mind about what I wanted, and she was so great to work with. On the wedding day, I had the girls travel to our hotel to do our hair. They were so sweet and enjoyable! Annette and Maddy helped make our day even more special. Cara (makeup artist) also traveled to the hotel, and my makeup looked STUNNING. I received so many compliments! Id highly recommend the airbrush makeup to any bride! Liz (salon manager) was great about answering my questions and working with me on scheduling details. I would definitely recommend Canvas Salon to anyone who wants beautiful hair and makeup for their big day!

I usually only get my hair cut 2 or 3 times a year and always look forward to a little pampering while hoping to not break the bank....this is exactly what I found at Canvas. From the thoughtful temple massage to the in depth conversation about how I style my hair on a normal basis, Maddie could not have been sweeter! A lot of salons, especially in this area, tend to feel a little uppity...not some place you feel comfortable of you arent "part of the elite"...not once did I get this vibe in this salon, its cozy and relaxing and oh yeah...I absolutely LOVED my hair when I walked out the door! Ive already recommended it and Ill definitely be back!
