I recently moved to this area and am searching for a hairstylist and had heard good things about Bocci so I made an appointment to get my hair trimmed. The stylist was terrible and this is the worst haircut I have ever had. I didnt know it was even possible to mess up a trim this badly. I told her I just wanted things trimmed up so that it didnt feel so choppy and messy. She clarified with so no more than about a quarter of an inch off and I told her that was perfect. She got started but was more concerned about talking with her sister who apparently works there too. After a few minutes the sister left, and shes trimming and Im watching my hair come off and it looks like anywhere from half an inch to a full inch. She gets done and asks if I want the tips under or flipped out. I tell her neither that I wear it straight. She starts drying my hair and flipping the ends under. Whatever because it really doesnt make that much difference to me because I can always fix it the way I always do later. So she gets done, doesnt offer me a mirror to look at the back or anything just starts walking away to the front. So I look at my hair the best I can and the way she fixed it would probably be okay if I was 55. But Im 25. I pay and the prices are fine if you are getting a GOOD haircut. However, today I wash my hair, dry it, and style it like I always do and I swear it looks like I have a mullet. It appears she didnt really trim my longest, main layer at all which comes to my shoulders but took so much off my layers that my shortest layer now makes me look like I have a mullet. It looks terrible and I want to cry. I am confident that I could have gotten a much better cut at Mastercuts for less than half the price. In conclusion, Bocci may have great stylists, but Kelly M did a terrible job for me. Im still trying to figure out what Im going to do for the next two months until my layers get long enough to fix besides wear a hat.

I had my chin length hair done there for a wedding. The lady who did my hair was running an hour behind, so by the time she got to me the rest of the wedding party had to leave. I had already washed my hair before I came, so it took her about twenty mintues to style my hair. She fluffed it up with a blow dryer, pulled up a section of my bangs, and pouffed it. I could not believe that they charged my $65. The other ladies who had long hair in the wedding party were charged the same, and it took their stylists at least double the time. When I questioned the price I was told very rudely that it was a "professional style" and would I like to schedule anything else? Since I was already running an hour behind I did not argue and paid the price. My hair did not last the evening and at the end of the night I took out a total of four bobby pins. I guess that means I payed $16.25 a pin. My hair did look nice while it lasted, but I could have done the same thing at home, and I wouldnt have had to wait an hour. There is NO way I will be going back.

Went to Bocci because I was given a Groupon for $100 to use. I didnt need my hair done, so I decided to get my eyebrows waxed, a mini pedicure & a full set of acrylic nails. Had a good experience. The place was nice and the women were really sweet. My eyebrows were done nicely and the pedicure seemed fine. However, I dont think my nails were done well. Within 4 days, 4 of my nails cracked and broke off. (I wasnt even doing anything and didnt hit them on anything). I went to another salon to have them repaired. Was told the acrylic was painted on so thin, its no wonder they broke off. Now today, I have another nail that I notice has a big crack in it. I am so annoyed by it :-( Thank God I had a groupon so I dont feel too bad about it. But I cant imagine paying $60 for a full set of this crap! Most places charge $30-40 for a full set, so I feel for the quality I recieved that Bocci is EXTREMELY overpriced. Wont go back to get my nails filled here...

love going here! i dont get my hair done very often anymore because im back to my natural color - but when it needs some tlc, i see Julie at Bocci. I have a lot of fun there chatting with her and my hair always comes out looking great! there was only one time when i was blonde where i had my roots touched up, it looked great when i left but within a few days it started getting that copper color all blondes know and dread. i spoke to Julie and she had absolutely no problem fixing it for me free of cost. AND this is the only place i can seem to find the moroccan oil brand hair products that i am in love with. the price is on the higher end but totally worth it IMO. i havent tried their other services, but if i had to judge based on past experiences then i am sure its worth giving a try :)

This is by far the best salon I have ever been to! I moved out to Sterling Heights from the west side about 6 years ago and I have tried countless salons in the area but it wasnt until I visited Bocci that I finally found MY salon. All the staff is well educated in their trade. They use all the newest professional products. Ive been using their services for nearly 3 years now and I have never been disappointed in anything I have had done, from waxing to cuts and color, I always walk out of there with a smile on my face. Lindsay Hartwig is an amazing hair stylist, she always knows exactly what to do with my hair and goes above and beyond to make sure it looks perfect every time. I would highly recommend this salon!

Very unprofessional staff. They dont tell you about their "a la carte" menu and do not tell you the amount for the services, preparing you for a shocking bill when you are finished. They take advantage of new customers, making up charges that are not on the menu. $25 for a blow dry and style to make sure they like the color after a highlight, which is $80, is absurd. I will not recommend the salon, and strongly discourage anyone going to this salon for any services. The worst salon I have ever been to, revolting and pathetic.

I went to Bocci for a Massage. A friend gave me a gift card, but after all of the negative reviews and the phony sounding positive reviews I was afraid to trust them with my hair, so I elected to get a deep tissue massage. The spa-suite lobby was chilly (it was winter) and the masseuse [Nancy] was just a couple minutes late, but the session was NOT cut short because of this, I received my full 50 minutes. The massage was fabulous. I recommend the Bocci Spa; I would return again.
