I really wish Id read more reviews for AMSM before deciding to hire them. Everyone I talked to on the phone did a great job of assuring me how smooth, easy, and affordable this move would be, and they did a fine job of explaining all the details of the contract (1 hr travel time added to final bill, 12% fuel charge, etc.) They said wed need 2 movers at $99/hr, and everything sounded great, so I paid my deposit to book the move. My husband and I were only moving a mile down the road from a 2 bedroom apartment to another 2 bedroom apartment, but hired movers because we were moving from a 3rd floor unit to a 1st floor unit, and had a lot of heavy items. We moved a big portion of our stuff on our own (clothes, food, dishes, etc), so what was left was furniture, and boxes/tubs of heavy books. We had everything packed and ready to go to make things as easy as possible on the movers. And thats where the smooth move ended. Our movers were supposed to arrive between 12-4:00. Around 1:00 I get a call telling me that "all the 2 men crews were tied up, but a 3 man crew would be available really soon, and could get to us faster." I was told this would "save us money" because theyd be able to complete the move quicker. The price would go up to $129/hr, but I agreed because I knew we had a lot of heavy items, and I thought it would be better suited for 3 men anyway. So then we waited, and waited, and waited. Several phone calls and a long story short, they finally arrived at 7:15 pm. The manager was very apologetic on the phone and said hed give us a discount. Okay, fine. So at 7:15 the three very exhausted movers show up and begin our move. My husband ended up helping them a bit to speed things up, and the move was finished at 11:30 pm. We were completely exhausted, as were they, and we told them they didnt have to put the furniture together, or move boxes to the appropriate rooms. We told them to put the bed in the bedroom, and to just dump everything else in the living room. We just wanted to go to bed, and I knew the movers all had to work the next morning, so I wasnt gonna force them to stay another hour. It would have been wrong. I also tipped them each $30 because I knew this situation was not their fault, and I felt horrible for them having to do this. Our final bill was $577 with the "$200 discount" taken off. I honestly still felt ripped off. They were 3-7 hrs late depending on how you want to look at it, and I think its ridiculous that the "travel time" charge goes up to $129 from $99 just because theres another guy sitting in the truck. Also, from them slamming the boxes down we ended up with 2 broken wedding photos, a broken plate, and they broke our office desk. The desk, thankfully, still functions, or else thered be bigger problems. The frames and plate are simple to replace. Our move was also incomplete, in my opinion, because we just had them dump everything in our living room and not put together the furniture. (Which is why we didnt know that the desk cracked.) I definitely would not hire All My Sons again. To be clear, I dont blame the actual moving men. I think it was unfair of the company to make them continue working that late, and given the situation, they did the best they could. I think the company clearly overbooked themselves for the day (or every day, Im guessing, by looking at the other reviews.) I was definitely misled by their low quote, and ended up paying for than that, even with their discount.

I regret using All My Sons moving company. It was a horrible experience. I sought them out because they represented family. I spoke with the owner and he talked a good game about them being in business for 25 years and so on. Im a single woman who had never used professional movers and he assured me the movers would move quickly because their bonuses were based on positive feed back. What he said the company was about and what I experienced was completely different. They sent me 3 movers. One had a broken finger and was of very little help. They moved like they were disabled. My neighbors called me and asked if they were being paid by the hour. I td them YES and they said they could tell by how slow they were moving. It took them 8 hours to move me from a 3 bedroom house to another 3 bedroom house. They sent 3 men, 1 had a broken finger. When they arrived to the new home they scratched up perfectly finished wood floors, put holes and scrapes in walls and broke 1 of my flat screen tvs. I wouldnt recommend this moving company to anyone. My suggestion is use another company. Oh yeah, they charged over $1700.00 and Im still waiting on claims. Their the worst.

I called and scheduled my move for sat morning. I was told Id get a confirmation call 24 hrs in advance. I didnt. I called them. They scheduled me for Monday because the person who they outsource their calls to did not speak English very well. Then when he tried to fix it but they had no drivers available! We needed to move that day because the new owners were moving in that night. I was left with NO MOVERS! Basically told to put it in a uhaul. I need an 18 wheeler to move our house not a box truck! If I could put it in a uhaul why hire them?!! I had to call other movers at 430 Friday evening for sat morning. Im paying more now for the move and more movers to fit the time frame. this was not my fault in any way and they should have found a way to right the situation. I will never use or recommend this company. Use 2 men and a truck. Much more professional.

A fantastic moving company with prompt service and fair pricing. I would not have been able to move to my new house without these guys. I looked into a number of moving companies, but All My Sons offered me the lowest quote, so I went with them. Despite the price, everything went according to plan without any damage to my furniture. On the day of my move, they were a little late to my apartment due to unexpected delays in helping a previous client. In order to make up for the delay, the owner sent an extra mover (I had only paid for two movers) free of charge. Also, because the move ended 30 minutes earlier than expected, the owner gave me a refund for the time I didnt use. These guys are a family owned and operated company, so they really care about delivering the best service. It definitely shows! I will be recommending All My Sons to all my friends.

Do NOT use this company! The person who booked our move was very polite and personable. Told us that the move would take 2 to 3 hours for our three bedroom house. Despite being told we would receive a call to let us know an arrival time we had to call to find out when they would arrive. Our movers arrived on-time 1pm and did not finish until 7pm. We had 1 sectional couch and three twin beds (no frames). The movers ruined the walls in our new house. It got so late we told them not to bother unloading into the new house and to just put all boxes in the garage. We ended up calling a friend to help get all the boxes in the house. Worst mover experience I have ever had - AND IT COST A SMALL FORTUNE as they charge by the hour.
