My stylist at Simply Swank is a truly fabulous colorist. Im older and my roots grow in completely gray, but the brunette color and highlights she applies look so natural that people often dont even realize my hair is dyed. It takes at least ten years off my apparent age. The price is considerable, but its a worthwhile investment in looking my best. I also like the fact that Aveda products are safe and well-formulated. To be honest I wouldnt risk going anywhere else. Im not the only one; my stylist is so popular that I have to book my appointments with her months in advance. On the rare occasions shes been away and Ive had another stylist, theyve all been fine, but shes the best. The overall salon experience is quite pleasant, with a nicely decorated space, coffee/tea or Perrier and cookies, and free wifi. The staff are friendly, courteous, respectful and professional. There is a small dressing room where I change into a comfy smock, so there is zero risk of getting hair dye on my clothing. You can also stock up on Aveda supplies--including travel sizes-- at the shop in the front waiting area. Samples (dispensed into little containers) are sometimes available if you want to try out a product at home before you buy.

New in town and in need of a new hair salon. I am kind of hard to please with hair salons. I dont like people with 5 nose/face rings and scary neck tattoos hovering over me with scissors - it freaks me out - and its really unprofessional. And I dont like having to "fix" my own hair when I get home because the hair stylist cant cut a straight line or an even layer. So I called Simply Swank Salon and set up an appt - they assigned me to a super sweet girl named Hallie, and she did a great job! Shes professional, seems really nice and is an awesome stylist. She listened to what I wanted, and I really like how my hair turned out. The salon is clean and nice - warm, friendly atmosphere. The receptionist offered me something to drink. Cozy sitting area up front. Very professional looking stylists (no nose rings, scary tattoos or flip-flops!). Hallie was on time (I hate when I am kept waiting longer than say 10 minutes after my appt time). Its an all around good salon and I will definitely continue to go there. Thanks! :)

I was disappointed in my visit. I made the appointment because the salon came recommended and I specifically wanted a new hair style. I explained in detail to the receptionist that I needed a change. When I made the appointment I also explained that I had some white hair and that I would need ash coloring so it didn’t tint red. I’ve had problems before but never this badly and certainly not when warning both the receptionist and the stylist. I also ended up with a rash where I was waxed. I was not impressed with the hair cut or the makeup application I had scheduled. You might carefully inquire about specific stylists and experts before you schedule here. They offered to have the same stylist fix my hair but I decided not to return. I would rather not risk any more wasted time as I have a full time job and children.

The service is the only reason Im giving it two stars instead of one. I was a first time client looking to get a shellac manicure. The staff was great, very friendly and hospitable. However, the manicure was not the best. The polish seemed fine when I was there but once I got outside I noticed that the color was not even at all. Much darker in some areas than other. And then after just one day the polish started chipping. Ive gotten shellac manicures many times in the past and they usually last 10-14 days. This one lasted less than 24 hours.

I have always had an awesome experience at Simply Swank!! My hair always looks great and I leave feeling pampered. As wonderful as my hair looks I think the salon greatest feature is their attention to customer service. A quality I think is getting harder and harder to find. Mallory, Tatum and Monica are attentive and helpful. I honestly can not remember who referred me to your place. It might have been a rave review online. I drive from Cortland, OH to get my hair cut. That says it all!!!

I am a new customer and was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. Lauren was incredible! She took the time to explain all the options for my hair coloring as well as the style. I absolutely love my new look as well as 85 other people who have liked my photo on FB with comments ranging from awesome to fabulous. Bad reviews are deleted so this site is not accurate. Its called a no tip salon, but then they suggest gift cards to show stylists and workers who wash your hair "appreciation". It ends up adding twenty five to forty dollars to the already expensive price. If you dont provide this "alternative" to a tip, you can expect less friendly treatment. Many friends and I have stopped supporting this business for such a manipulative business model.

I have been coming to the salon for a few years for my mani/pedis with Candace. I have NEVER been disappointed with anything she has done to my nails. She is very friendly and always takes the time to see what colors will work, etc.... The receptionists and everyone else there are so friendly as well. Love this salon and the atmosphere. Just a FYI book early shes hard to get into!!! LOL Thanks for what you do Candace. :)

I always have such a positive feeling when I am at Simply Swank. From my initial greeting by the receptionists to the finish of my services. My stylist, Patrick always walks me to the front desk. He is very attentive to making sure my experience is the best it can be. Now that I have found Simply Swank and especially Patrick I have no desire to be lured away by any other salon, regardless of coupons or specials.

Customer of Simply Swank for 5 years. Excellent service from all of the stylists. They take time to talk about your style first. Not the typical meet you at the shampoo bowl and then start cutting your hair. Do to schedule conflicts, Ive worked with a number of the stylists for cut and color. All are excellent. This makes it easy to recommend the salon and not only one stylist.

I love Simply Swank. I drive from south western Indiana (500 miles) to have my hair styled/cut/colored by Patrick. (Admittedly, my daughter lives close to SS) Patrick always does/knows what I want but makes suggestions too. I have never been disappointed there, and love the Aveda products too. My favorite salon.

Love this place! I had an appointment with Joy yesterday and left with terrific highlights, cut and style. Great customer service from the time you arrive. I had been going to another salon for years and friends suggested I try Simply. So glad I did! Will definitely be back.
