I was in Alexandria, Ohio when my batter died suddenly. I had it jumped started and then drove to Advanced Auto Parts in Johnstown. They checked my battery and it was corroded around the connections. They said it might not have started because of the corrosion. They recommended that I take it to Stringers and have them clean the connections and test the battery. I went to Stringers and they fit me in after a short wait. They soon drove my car out of the shop and told me the battery was find; just need the connections cleaned. I asked how much I owed and they replied that it was no charge. My kudos to both Advanced and to Stringers. I will be returning to both and spreading the word.

Russ and his crew are without question the most reliable and efficient repair artists in the surrounding area. Qualified and expert service without fail, excuses, added on repair bills or reasons the job wasnt complete or didnt work out. I have learned to rely on emergency work when I need it on that very same day. I suggest to anyone if you need reasonably priced, quality repairs, you should give Stringers an opportunity to impress you and leave there smiling, knowing you are driving away in a car that IS NOT going to be a depressing surprise later on down the road because of poor workmanship. These guys are awesome.

Were fair and honest. Was happy with the work until last time I went in. They wanted $500 to replace windshield motor and linkage. Not saying it wouldnt cost that, but I will rainx it each week for that. They took it apart to diagnose it (and yes I paid $49 and some change for labor) and when I got it back, the 4 screws that hold on the trim piece at the bottom of the windshield were not in. I noticed on the highway there following Monday because it was loose and flapping around (the work was done on a Saturday). Mustve just gotten in a hurry and been careless. I dont want someone in a hurry working on my car.

I am so happy I discovered Stringer Auto. These guys really know what they are doing and they take care of me very well. They do great work AND they are honest! On several occasions I have taken one of my cars to them believing the problem to be one thing and every time they have found the problem to be something else and charged me less than I was expecting. Each instance they could have over charged my and I would not have known the difference. I really trust these guys.
