if i could give this place negative stars I would. we ordered good from her for my sons first birthday party. 75 chicken tenders and sandwiches. more than have of the chicken tenders were burnt. the cook literally out a layer of good ones on top to cover their mistake. my wife called the following Monday to discuss this with the owner the owner apologized said ALL money would be refunded and check was going in the mail that day on the 11. a week later still I check so I proceeded to call the owner told me she had already sent the check, three days later still no check so I called again. the owner said that she wrote it gave it to her husband to put in the mail this was on the 18. well now on the 23 we receieve the check for 35 dollars. definitely not all of what we paid,the check is written for the 20th therefore show in that the owner lied about previously writing the check and the proceeded to get nasty wit my wife on the phone and even hung up on her after stating that well the food was eaten. well yes we were going to not,feed our guests at are sons first birthday party due to their mistake. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE !!!! If you want poorly made food and terrible service then this is the place for you!

One star is being too generous. The food was not hot (safety issue?), and it did not taste good. Based on my experience, I would not be interested in using Old School House Catering for any event I am hosting. The restaurant is run down. While it may be clean, I was not encouraged by the peeling paint on the buildings exterior and the bird droppings on the rails of the ramp leading from the uneven driveway to the front door. The only good thing about the restaurant was the service, which was good. The interior looked so tired and worn out; there was no effort made to make the restaurant attractive. On the buffet line, the old pool table light was crooked, and there was no protective cover on the buffet. As I mentioned earlier, the food wasnt particularly good. My advice is to skip this dump.

We used Old Schoolhouses Self-Service Buffet for our daughters wedding on June 24th, 2017 at Jilbert Winery in Valley City. We were very happy! All the food was very good -- tasty -- and at a great price! We had the Balsamic Grilled Chicken and Brown Sugar Roasted Porkloin served with Pasta and Spinach in Roasted Garlic Sauce, Tossed Mixed Green Salad, Garlic Breadsticks, Red Skin Potatoes, and Corn OBrian. I worked with Tim and Gail to customize our service a little bit and they were happy to make adjustments to work with us. The delivery went smoothly and the two ladies who were our servers were very pleasant and did a great job. I will use them again if I have a need.

EXCELLENT . . . . Old School House food is absolutely delicious! They catered my Granddaughters Bridal Shower (at Jilberts) recently and everyone raved about the food! Thanks Tim and James for the scrumptious buffet and your kindness. Also, their Friday night buffet is outstanding! Tim goes above and beyond to please and always with a smile! Their staff and their service are exceptional in every way. If you havent tried Old School House food/catering, I highly recommend that you do so.

Cant beat the price for the Friday night all you can eat buffet. Every week they change the items so its never the same thing over and over. Staff is very friendly and the owner is always around greeting patrons. My husbands local union also uses them to cater Thanksgiving and Christmas parties at the hall and they all love the food. Feeding a few hundred Carpenters is no easy task but the pull in off every year!

Best home cooked meal in Northeast Ohio. Friday night buffet is the BEST! They have Prime Rib and steak specials on Friday night too. Good old fashioned bar. Very homey, friendly, tasty. It really is in an Old Schoolhouse. Good hearted folks give you too much food and too much hospitality, but youll probably get used to it, and go back again and again, just like we have for more than 5 years!

Been going to the Old School House for years. Kind of glad to see the return of the old Friday night format, thought the food has never changed. It is always great there and always great when they have catered for our family parties and events. certainly a little known gem in our community!
