Brought a 1992 F-150 in that was not running for them to take a look at it. I advised them that I was told by the previous owner that it was a possible fuel pump related issue. I assumed that they would diagnose the entire start up process to get a ball park on how much it would cost. They called me that same day and said that it would cost $300 to replace the fuel pump (they determined that it was bad). I agreed to the $300 and they began working on it. I got a call from them about an hour later stating that another part was bad (fuel pump relay) and it would cost an additional $70. Once again I agreed. The very next I received a phone call stating that the fuel pump was fixed but the vehicle had no spark. They quoted me $140 for a ignition module. I gave them a call in the evening of the next day and they said they were having a issue with signal not returning and were still diagnosing the problem (Friday). When I hadnt heard from them, I called to check on the it on Tuesday. They told me they they were unsure as to what the issue is and that it will cost me $72 HR to continue diagnosing it (no time table was given). I decided that I would have it taken to another shop. When I asked them what parts were replaced, they had no acknowledgement of the $70 fuel pump relay or even the phone call that I received with another charge. Needles to say it cost $500 and I had to have it towed to another shop. (one weeks later) The truck is now running and paid less than they were going to charge me for one hour of diagnosis. To be honest I am convinced that everything that they did was unnecessary. The only thing that needed to be done was to replace the ECM. Funny considering that is the part that controls the fuel and spark. If you know what needs to be done this place might not be bad, but if you need them to diagnose something you will be better off taking it somewhere else.

These people dont even deserve one star! Took my 1974 VW bug in to be restored .. 2 years later it was finally finished. Once I brought it home, we put it in the garage to keep it safe and only drove it occasionally. Now that Spring is here, we take her out of the garage, couldnt keep her running, only to discover that the "completely redone motor" is a total lie/hack job. The exhaust hose is duct taped, no hoses are breathing properly nor secured, gas was leaking from the carborator (the ONLY new part in the engine, which we discovered you can buy off eBay for $90). Also my "new paint job" started chipping two months after we got it & has runs. BUT at least they gave us touch-up paint (*insert eye-roll*). And everything but the motor was spray painted. THEY COULDNT EVEN PUT ON A NEW FEUL PUMP. Nor replace a cracked fuel-pump spacer. This is a warning, DO NOT GO HERE. This place is a RIP OFF! If you go against my advice, please PLEASE have someone with car knowledge come with you before you drive it off of the lot. I would be preparing to sue these jokers if I hadnt had trusted them in the first place but now its too late. Five grand for a slapped together motor and worthless paint job. THANKS LORAIN AUTO, YOU SUCK.

I can only comment on their exhaust work as thats all they have done for me, however.... Simply the best when it comes to exhaust work, hands down. Everyone that works there is simply great from Drew that works the front desk to Dion who does the exhaust work. For amazing and fairly priced exhaust work they cant be beat, and the quality of the work by the Dion is outstanding. If Im correct, he has been there for about 15 years and no joke, the man has to dream about exhaust at night when he sleeps. I have never seen such good freehand work without taking forever to take precise measurements. However, they dont do Mandrel bending, but who cares? With the quality of their work I dont need fancy Mandrel bent stainless exhaust work. Myself and many of my friends have had our exhausts modified to work with our offroad vehicles here and Dion is always friendly and takes the time to stand under the vehicle with you and talk about exactly what you want. I even take my cars to them for normal exhaust work. Bottom line, if you need exhaust work done on ANYTHING go here. You wont be disappointed ever, I promise. Updated to meet Google policy standards.

took 3 vehicles in. one a diesel that they never worked on except.. for the same thing they said about all 3.. they all have leaking gas lines and need new gas tanks.. 3 out of 3.. never mind what I actually brought the vehicles in for.... they need new fuel lines, tanks, EVERY THING.. um, what about the failed E-check... stutter, sure, this could be it, but if not, it is way over $300 bucks and we get you a pass! They do not even try to fix what you bring it in for... do not even know what your talking about, just want to sell me my 3rd in a row new fuel system... im done
