DO NOT GET ANY EXHAUST WORK DONE HERE! Initial impressions of the place were very good, the owner was nice and honest but it only went downhill from there. They had the simple task of removing a resonator and replacing it with straight pipes, a job any other muffler shop could do in their sleep. I noticed something was off when the worker started torching off my resonator instead of using a proper cutting tool. when most of the pipe was burnt off he took a crowbar to pry off the resonator. This shifted my whole exhaust and my exhaust tips were hanging down. The worker then started lowering my car and said he was done. Owner was very understandable and they spent around 2 hours trying to fix their mistake but my tips were still misaligned and the exhaust did not sound right. This forced me to bring my car to another muffler shop and pay more money to fix everything Big Mechanic did to my exhaust. After my car was up on the lift in a different shop, they showed me that I had an exhaust leak at every single point where Big Mechanic tried to weld it. After the pipe was cut off I could see that the pipe wasnt even welded in half the places! I couldnt believe it. It isnt over yet. The resonator that was taken off could not be reused because Big Mechanic torched holes in it while trying to take it off. The other shop fixed everything and my exhaust sounded perfect. Big Mechanic does not have the proper tools to perform any exhaust work and youall end up paying another shop more to fix their mistakes. Do yourself a favor and find a different shop.

droped of my car at muffler city to hv the ac checked . it stoped blowing cold a couple days ago . i have taken it to a couple other shop to get a estimate. recived two high prices from the other two shops .was told it would take all day to fix . the tech at muller city looked at it for about fifteen min. told me it was a bad relay . had fixed and blowinf ice cold in thirty min for $ 67.03 . a fraction of what the other two stores wanted .. Cant Say enough about Jeff and the guys at Big Mechanic (Zephyrhills). I have a Toyota tundra with 429,000 miles on it and year after year they keep it up and running. They are honest, fair and the work is superior. No matter where I am in Tampa when something goes wrong with my truck I always go out of my way to get it to Jeff and the guys at Big Mechanic where I know Im in good hands.

The hood release cable broke on my car today and i noticed a small oil leak. I went to a couple of shops in town. They all wanted a fee just to look at it. Gary at Muffler City showed me how to fix it, gave me a free estimate, and made sure my vehicle was safe to drive. I will be bringing my car here from now on.

Maybe it me but went there yesterday and had a thermostat But in cost 130 was ok with that but now my water pump is out kind of funny that didnt have this problem yesterday they want 300 plus Drove the car away thank you I have friends that know what the you doing. And fixing it for 160

Truck ac stopped working on vacation they fixed it for free, could have charged me for a lot of work I didnt need. Then my alternator went out and they fixed it fast for a reasonable price. highly recommend, got me in and out fast and back to my vacation. owner is very friendly

Very friendly people they will take care of you like family they did have a hiccup with an employee a while back but the staff they have there is awesome once again thank you guys for taking care of my wife and not ripping her off I will be coming back for another 10 more years

Took my car for an oil change. When I left I noticed that my car was vibrating pretty hard from the front. Took it back and was told they had forgot to tighten one of my tires! Will not be going back!

Car was riding bad. They told me I needed shocks and struts even though the car only has 40,000 miles. I should have known better. I let them do it...paid ALOT and the car still rides bad. Never again.
