My experience with Vivid Salon and Spa was not the greatest. I called a month ahead of time to make a hair and makeup appointment for my mother and I for Labor Day morning (the day I was getting married). Four days ahead of my appointment, I get a call saying sorry, we have to reschedule your appointment to another day because were actually closed that day. I told them that I couldnt reschedule since it was for my wedding. They said try to call around and find someone else and if you cant find anyone, give us a call back. Well I called around and no other places were open Labor Day. I looked online and did a search for people who travel to do hair and when I called them, all said they were already booked or needed more notice than 4 days ahead. I called Vivid back and they said well try to see if any of our stylists are available to come to you. Two days go by and then they finally tell me that they Brittany and Jamie will be coming to us to get us ready. When I touched base with Jamie, I found out the prices for coming to us vs. going to the salon were more expensive than I was originally quoted but again I didnt have a choice as I needed someone to help us get ready. The day of the wedding is here and I get a text message saying theyre going to be late. They only showed up about 20 minutes late but it still would have been nice if they were on time since we were on such a tight schedule. Next, Brittany starts working on me while Jamie works on my mom. Both Jamie and Brittany seemed very unprepared. They asked us to borrow a hair dryer and asked us if we had some of our own makeup then Jamie took my hair brush off the counter to use on my mom. I wouldnt have been upset about this but for the fact that Jamie packed up my hair brush with her stuff and took it with her and by the time I realized it, it was the next morning as we were getting ready to go to the airport for our honeymoon. Jamie did a good job though on my moms hair and makeup-my mom looked very nice. Brittany on the other hand did not do as great of a job. My makeup looked okay but she didnt have anything to cover up blemishes on my face so I used my own makeup for that. I hated my hair. It was uneven on both sides and looked like a frizzy mess and she could tell I hated it as she kept saying, "you know you can tell me you dont like it, it wont hurt my feelings." I told her it was okay because what was she going to do? It took her 3 hours just to do that monstrousity and it was hairsprayed beyond belief and by that time people were in our room starting to get dressed for the wedding; I just wanted them to leave. In case your wondering just how bad my hair looked, my mother in law saw me and asked if I wanted a hair brush to "fix" my hair when she saw me at the wedding venue. Overall, I would never recommend Vivid to anyone. Yes they came through for me and found someone to do our hair for us, but it was their fault they cancelled in the first place, I was charged more for it, and I looked horrific for my wedding day. Never ever again!

I seriously just google searched "hair salons near me" and this wasnt the first one to come up. Depending on your location, of course, but I only live off Engle Rd in Brook Park. I read the reviews, there were mostly very positive ones from more recent visitors. With that, and after looking up their general prices (mine was a bit more because I had very long hair), I called and they were able to set up an appointment the same day. They set me up with Jessica who in the end made me almost cry with how amazing my hair cut ended up being. She was super energetic and communicative about what I was looking for. She even dry cut my hair because I was more concerned about how it would look dried anyway, I have tattoos behind my head that need covered up for most jobs. I also wanted to keep my hair at a length that could be pulled back. She met and exceeded all expectations! I usually stick to one stylist but this was very short notice that I needed a hair cut done. I of course suggest Jessica, but everyone client in there coming and going looked great while I was there. I highly recommend this place. I was blown away and I am stuck up about my hair and who touches it.

This was my first visit to Vivid Salon & Spa and Ill definitely be back. The staff greeted me immediately, but was not fake or overwhelming. The decor is fun, but again not overwhelming or trying too hard. Tiffany, and her assistant, did a great job making me feel comfortable, asked all the right questions, and gave good suggestions about color. I was very pleased with the color and cut. When Tiffany suggested products, I didnt feel like I was being pressured at all, and the products that I did buy are terrific! I already recommended one of them to another friend. The prices are not too much and they discuss with you before doing anything, so you arent shocked when youre paying your bill. Definitely recommend this salon.

Ive gone to Vivid for a couple years now and Ive never had a bad experience. I typically see Terri, as she is a family friend - but I have also seen Amy and Ive seen the work that the other girls have done and I love it. While I would have thought it was a more "modern" salon - I see older women in there all the time as well. Ive never had an issue with Customer Service, all the girls are very nice and hospitable. I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Vivid Salon! I am currently growing out my hair from a buzzcut/pixie cut, and I can, 100% say that all my concerns were not only addressed, but nipped in the bud- Tiffany and her staff at Vivid not only listen, they have the skill to back it up. If you want your hair funky- cut and colors- they got it. If you want classic- they got it. All ages, all styles, from pink to beautiful blonde, they got it! A++++++

The people seemed friendly, however I do not recommended gerting nails done . I had a newer employee do my nails . I had the shelic done and the next day it was chipped, it should last 2 weeks. Also the girl doing nails filed my long nails unevenly and too short. I wanted a manicure with a shilac and just got the polish. I can not say how hair services are but I WILL NOT BE BACK FOR NAILS.

I have always had a great experience with Vivid! The staff has always been OUTSTANDING and extremely courteous, professional, helpful and just nice all-around. They are GREAT with hair and I have had my hair many colors, styles, lengths and cuts and theyve been great with trying new things on me and have never let me leave disappointed. I highly recommend giving them a try!
