I have made two attempts to contact the owner of this shop, personally coming to the shop, leaving my phone number, and not once contacted. I had the plugs in my vehicle changed by this shop, as well as one of the coils. I continued to have problems. After the second time in this shop, I took my vehicle to another shop. One of the plugs, the one most difficult to get at, was completely burned away. The shop that discovered this, while not saying it was the case, indicated that sometimes, this plug is bypassed due to the difficulty of accessing. Two more of the plugs were finger tight. Total cost of this repair has exceeded 1,000 dollars. I made good faith attempts to contact the owner of this shop and was ignored. Had he contacted me, we could have resolved this issue without this negative review. Will never use this shop again.

I am from out of town and had an AC compressor go out. Being from Phoenix having a working AC is very important. Well, since I was visiting Brookings, I NEEDED a functioning AC for our trip back to Phoenix. Richard was very helpful and got the parts ordered for my AC. They installed it the next day with no deposit. The price was amazing, as they could have taken advantage of me in my desperate time of need, but instead they installed the new compressor and had me on my way. Very professional. Thank you to Richard and the owner Tony for running a great business. My family has been visiting Brookings for several decades, and I will recommend these guys to anyone I can. Thanks again!

Ive been taking my cars to Proficient for years now, and have always had great service, at reasonable prices. Tony has diagnosed problems with my wifes BMW that had stumped other shops who specialize in German cars. When I picked up the Beemer today I was expecting to pay a specific estimated price, but was happy to learn that the costs was dramatically lower than expected as the parts were lower than Tony had thought. This kind of honesty is hard to come by these days. I certainly recommend Proficient Auto to anyone needing a good, honest repair shop.

These guys were great. I came to them for a rear brake job and I found the right place! From the first phone call, the service technician and desk clerk were friendly, understanding and accommodating in every way. Im very pleased with the repair and my experience with them.
