EDIT: I have updated my star rating from 1 to 4 stars because after receiving my review, I was contacted by the manager, Brooke. She apologized, assured me retraining was happening, gave me a refund, and spent time talking with me about the experience. She was genuinely concerned for my experience and I really felt she and the owner took what happened seriously. Brooke even offered to cut my hair for free when Im ready for a trim in a few months, should I want to. She was very lovely and professional and I appreciate the effort they went to. I had my hair cut by "May" around 5 pm on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at the Cornelius, OR location. I asked for just above shoulder length overall length, indicating with my hand exactly where I wanted the bottom to rest, and asked for a little bit of long layering like I already had. She said ok and began cutting. With her first "blunt cut" as she called it, she had the length near perfect. It was maybe a touch shorter (I have curly hair and I knew it would dry shorter with the scrunch of the curl) than I wanted, but I was ok with it. I figured she would clean up the line a little, which wouldnt affect the length too much, and put in the layers like previous hair cuts Ive had at a different Great Clips location. She checked that I didnt want short top layers because it would cause too much poof. I agreed that all I wanted was long layers, reiterating that point. She pulled a section off the back middle and took a huge amount of length off. At that point I knew it was too late to hide her mistake and Id have to go forward. Going in I wanted just above shoulder length with a little shape. I left with barely chin length at the longest in a kind of bob. With the curl drying, this will be the shortest my hair has ever been and I never wouldve wanted it this short. I said at one point, when she said she was "evening things out" that I hadnt wanted it too short. Her response was, "all the hair cutting things, I already know. I know better." I have never had such a horrible hair cut experience before. I will never go back to this location. I wanted to try it because it was closer to my house than the Hillsboro location I usually visit. When I called that location to check if they were owned by the same franchise owner, they told me they werent, but they had received at least 5 other complaints of other customers going to the Cornelius location and being given haircuts they did not want because the stylist (not clear if it was all the same one) "knew better." These stylists need to be retrained in listening to customers and I will be seeking a refund.

Like a bad Edward Scissorhands. I went in and before I could even finish describing the very little trim I wanted this woman had whacked off 3" of my hair on top. It was not the 1/4- 1/2 inch trim and some styling I was trying to tell her and wanted at all. This cut now will take me over a year to grow back to where it was and not only that it is so disconnected that I have to use a TON of product in my hair to fix it, it is the most disconnected haircut Ive had in years or maybe ever. She totally caught me off guard, you wouldnt expect someone to be so self serving and full of themselves. I suppose this is my fault somehow from getting a bad haircut from another stylist before but it was nothing like this. I was hasty in going here. Thanks a lot Great Clips Cornelius

I went here back in October and this lady did a fantastic job on my hair, so yesterday I go back to do a trim with layers. I should the lady a picture of what I wanted which was one layer above the original length that was a 1/4 inch above it. I have extremely thin hair that take a long time to grow back and the lady spent 4 minutes on my hair. After paying and walking out, I realize I have "layers" that go to the top of my head. That wasnt even close to what I asked for. I asked for a normal hair cut and I look like Im balding because of this lady. Im absolutely never coming here again. And I will not recommend this place to anyone.

The online check-in makes for a quick and easy experience. Im happy with the results of my haircut and they had me in and out in a good amount of time. The employees are still trying to get their groove, so its still a little bumpy yet. However, it was still a good experience.

The hair dresser spent no more than 4 minutes on my hair, which is thick and requires a little more than that. Very poor quality and very little effort was spent. I still have split ends and will need to go somewhere to have them finish the job. Would not recommend to anyone.

Needs to learn how to cut mens hair, especially doing fades. Very inexperienced people working here, exept maybe one worker. They usually look very nervous. Im guessing thats why theres been a sale for haircuts for the past month or so.

They made me wait an 1 and 15 minutes to call my sons name skip him and put him as a no show. Maybe this pricing isnt worth the hassle i would rather pay 20 dollars for a hair cut that will be given with great service. Thumbs
