While Im usually a positive person and try to see the best in people, this review is anything but positive and the reason I say this is because I left this salon as a very dissatisfied costumer. I went in about a week ago to get the Kertin Complex treatment which I have had done several times in the US and abroad and always had amazing results, frizz decreasing 95%, amazing shine and cutting the drying time to a third of what it usually takes without this treatment. Well let me just say that my hair hasnt changed one bit, the first couple of days the change was about10% and when I called the owner "Garret" to tell him about this issue, he told me to wait a week to see if it gets better??!! I called back a few days later telling him it got worse, so he then decided to call the distributing company and check with them about this product. Again why would he do that, isnt he a professional, shouldnt he know his craft??!!! To make a long story short he informed me that the "company" told him that results are not guaranteed and that they vary from person to person he tried to give all these weird justifications which I had answers to as I do know this treatment quite well you first blow dry the hair straight (which he didnt) then you take thin layers of the hair and use a flat iron over 12 times on each strand which he didnt. He wouldnt offer to re-do the treatment nor did he offer to give me a refund. I had to pay $120 for nothing. All I kept hearing him say is: "I did it right its not my fault" "I even watched the video right before you came to your appointment". Whatever happened to costumer service in this country??!!! I have been living here for a few years and Im shocked at how people handle their business. I asked for a refund but he wouldnt give it to me, all he said was come in for a "shine treatment". If the Kertin didnt give me the shine it was supposed to give what is this other cheaper treatment going to do? I had been there before for high-lights and have shown the specific color I wanted and the end result was orange high-lights I had to call back and go again days later to tone the color down and it still has an orange tone but not as bright. I do hope I eventually find a good salon that caters to my basic hair needs. Oh and one last thing, when I tipped him, he never said thank you or even looked at me and smiled, not being from around here I had to ask friends if its offensive to tip the owner, and I was told it wasnt... all I can say some people naturally have what is called savoir fair and others dont!

Suite 101 was the first Corvallis salon that I tried since moving here because it has generally great reviews online. I think people sometimes only feel like writing reviews after they have a particularly awful experience--not enough good reviews get posted! So I felt it was necessary to put my 2 cents in regarding my experience at Suite 101. For starters: Jill is my new hair girl! Im pretty picky about my hair and especially my bangs. When I have had haircuts in the past and asked for the side-swoopy bangs that pretty much every girl has I have always left disappointed. Jill has the side-swoopy bangs technique down and gave me exactly what Ive always wanted. I have long hair and asked if she could get rid of the dead ends and add layers while keeping as much length as possible. In the past, this is the point at which many a hair stylist has taken a trip down Personal Creativity Lane on my hair, but Jill really listened and gave me exactly what I was after. She is sweet and easy to talk to, and when a side conversation with another stylist started she was sure to catch me up on the conversation so that I would be included rather than feel forgotten. Garrett and another gal, I think Jessica, were there as well and all were friendly and interacted as such with anybody who came through the door. Suite 101 had a relaxed and friendly vibe and was such a refreshing experience in comparison with other places I have been. Another plus: If you get a hair cut from Jill and need a bang trim before your next appointment with her, just drop in and as soon as she can shell squeeze you in to clean up those bangs and keep you looking polished.

Tried to go from dark brown to blonde at this salon. I gave them multiple opportunities to back out if they couldnt do it and they said they could. Came out almost the exact same color for $120. The color looked good but it wasnt what I wanted at all. Girl didnt even offer to fix it or do highlights. I wont be getting my hair done here anymore.

I always have Jessica cut my hair (which is isnaly thick) and she does a great job, been working with her for years. I dont even bring pictures any more, just a vague idea of what I want and she gives me something great!

Garrett does a great job keeping my Wife and I looking stylish and feeling good. He actually listens to what you want, and has original ideas when you feel like a change.

The stylists here are very experienced and knowledgeable. You can get everything from a trim to a crazy color dye job and any razor cut in-between.
