After completely remodeling our house, using a couple of the big (and expensive) names in Eugene to start, we finished our remodeling jobs with Castile Construction. And any other contracting work we have in the future will be done with Castile as well. We could not have been happier with their work, and where the other guys failed, they succeeded with flying colors. Imagine having a contractor whose workers and subs call before they come to your house. Every time. And imagine them coming on time almost every time. And further imagine that if they are going to be late, or on a rare occasion, cant come at all, they call well in advance of those changes and are apologetic! Castiles employees are hardworking, friendly and competent. Their work is top rate and they take great pride in it. When was the last time you had a contractor point out a minor issue to you ON THEIR OWN, and say "hey, that is a bit different than we had envisioned, will that work for you?" Every time Castile has pointed out something like that to me, I would never even have noticed if they hadnt mentioned it...thats how much pride they take in their work. It has always driven me crazy that the contracting industry has never felt compelled to engage in a little thing I like to call "customer service." Contractors usually do what they want, when they want, and if you dont like it you can find someone else--all while your bathroom is half torn apart. Castile Construction=Customer Service. Period. We wont use any other contractor in Eugene ever again.

I am pretty handy, but anytime I need the pros I call Forrest. I have a 1901 historic home with 1 window 2nd floor bedrooms. I called in Forrest to help me put in 2 skylights. He used only the best Velux i think and they have not leaked in the 5 years they have been in. I open them up in the summer and it is like a whole different house! I am especially concerned about new trim work matching historic trim work in the rest of my house. Josh his lead carpenter took extra care to custom fab the trim to match exactly. When I hired sagebrush painting to repaint my peeling paint he discovered dryrot. In order for him to complete the difficult sanding and painting work before the rainy season I had to call in the pros. Forrest converted my rotten front window to a beautiful sliding door. Next he replaced my rear window with a beautiful sound deadening window that is really quiet. I live near the traintracks and have never slept better. He had to make the trimwork at his shop and then install it. I was impressed with his quiet tools like the air compressor which usually when I turn on mine my dogs are terrified, my dogs were not disturbed by his tools. I highly recommend him and he will go out of his way to keep your house clean and project done right.

We had an amazing experience with Castile Construction! Forrest met with us to discuss our vision and budget for replacing our front deck and provided experienced feedback. He came back with a design then gave us the opportunity to make revisions and optimize our plans. Everyone who worked on this project was extremely respectful of our space. They were not excessively loud, they completely cleaned up after themselves each day, and they were very pleasant and professional when we had questions or just happened to cross paths. The project manager was conscientious and followed up with us very regularly to check in with our experience, answer questions, and provide updates. The end product is gorgeous and reflects their high standards of craftsmanship. After using the deck gate for a couple weeks, we realized the latch style was not the right design for our needs. Because the ideal option wasnt on the market, Josh hand welded a custom gate latch to exactly meet our needs. We will absolutely use Castile Construction for all future projects!

Throughout many years of living in Eugene I saw this family business grow into one of the best in town. Castile Construction has become the go-to choice for people who want expertly built, creative remodels. Forrest has decades of experience, is very knowledgable, and hes gained a reputation for building beyond client expectations, making sure his work will last for years to come. He has great relationships with his employees who who almost always stick around for years and years, each of them doing excellent work themselves. Castile Construction will work with you to make sure their work exceeds your expectations, and the well help you envision projects that have not yet quite gelled in your head. Forrest transformed my former lovable-but-funky 1920s home into a beautiful sanctuary of tile, refinished floors, creative lighting and covered outdoor living space. I wish I could convince these guys to move to Portland so they could perform the same magic on my current lovable-but-funky domicile!

Castile Construction was able to explain the problems as they happened and how they could be correctly addressed. They offered many solutions from the less expensive to the more expensive. He helped me find an excellent and new green product for my kitchen counters - Paper Stone. When he didnt have a solution for a particular problem he did all the research and shared his findings with me (putting heat under red oak in the foyer). Castile Construction is very professional. They have a number of excellent, reliable subcontractors, plumbing, electrical, etc. Castile Construction gave me weekly status reports, arrived to my house when they said they would (or called if there was a problem), they worked around my crazy schedule and they came up with creative safe solutions for dealing with my seven cats. He, and all the members of his crew, have a a great eye for detail and color. I would not trust my house to anyone else but Castile Construction.

Castile Construction was excellent. They did a renovation on my garage with epoxy flooring and custom cabinets and a work bench. They also built custom cabinets and put in a beautiful sink in my laundry room. It is almost embarrassing that now those two areas are by far the most beautiful in the house. We are now planning on having Forrest and the crew come in and do the rest of the house a room at a time. His prices were fair, the quality was excellent, and he was always patient and understanding. Forrest and his contractors were also always timely. That is very important to me. If you are looking for a trustworthy, knowledgeable, excellent Contractor, Forrest Castile is your man. We are thrilled with our new bathroom from Castile Construction! We started with a handful of must-haves... a curbless shower, linear drain, heated floor, heated towel rack… Forrest took our ideas and created a computer model of our dream bathroom, bringing our vision to life. He provided solid recommendations for local showrooms to help with materials and fixture choices. Once the project started, we were impressed with Forrest’s construction team, especially Josh, who did a great job of keeping the project moving, letting us know who was coming in that day and what progress we could expect to see.
