I ordered an item. Tracked the item. USPS tracking showed my item arrived at USPS 97405 at 514am 12.16.15 and would be delivered that day. The package was not delivered on 12.16.15 or 12.17.15. On 12.18.15 I went to PO 97405, waited in line for 20 minutes. I spoke with tall bald male. He asked for my name and address. He went in the back and upon his return told me my carrier believed my item was in her deliveries for that day. I went home and waited. When my carrier came by she denied ever even seeing my package. I called PO 97405 at 324pm. The male who answered the phone took my name and address, told me he was busy but would look for my package and call me back. I called PO 97405 on 12.19.14 at 944am. The male who answered the call asked my name and address. He put me on hold while he went to look for my package . When he finally came back to the phone he told me bellowed everywhere and could not find it. He confirmed tracking indicated receipt of my item on 12.16.15. He kept saying the situation was "embarrassing." He did not offer any solution. Today I checked tracking- hoping maybe there was an update and my item had been located. Instead read: "Your item was returned to sender on December 20, 2015 at 1015am in Eugene Oregon 97405 because the addresse moved and left no forwarding address." This is an outright lie. It is evident to me that PO 97405 lost or misdeed reed my item and are now trying to cover their mistake. They are hoping it is too much hassle for me or the sender to pursue. Shame on you!

Sorry to have to say this but this branch of the Post Office is pretty poor. Long waits in line await you. Never more than 2 clerks on duty no matter how long the line is. The male pony-tailed clerk is a long-term USPS employee and has an ego/attitude to match - customers are definitely on HIS schedule and he makes no bones about acting and saying so. After servicing a customer will disappear into the backroom for goodly amounts of time no matter how many are waiting in line to do whatever it is he does. The young lady clerk is better but you can tell shes been lorded over by Mr. Post Office for so long, she gets a crack in her face if she tries to smile and seems irritated if the customer request forces her to leave her station. Overall impression is that the customers are a bunch of steer bothering these folks with their lousy requests for service. Late delivery is commonplace and, OMG, dont go looking for packages that should have been delivered 2 days ago. I went to pick my mail up since no attempts were made at our address due to snow...had 3 packages there per tracking. The clerk handed me one junkmail letter and said that was all she could find...what?

Approached mail driver Parked in 7-11 parking lot smoking a cigarette and asked if he had delivered on my street yet and he said no. I then asked him if I could get my mail if I show my identification since my mail ($500 in checks) was stolen out of my locked mail box and he said he was on break, plus they were to hard to get to...? I might just blow up the pic of him smoking in the 7-11 parking lot (very professional by the way!!) and posting it on FB and all over the web!!! 2-1/2 minutes out of his smoke break just to be kind would have been great! But I do understand I interrupted his smoke break and thats his time! Im assuming once everything goes almost paperless and Fed Ex and UPS take over they wont have very many jobs left...so Id prob hate my job too!! Lose those great insurance benefits, vacations, all holidays off and sick days accrued ...wish I had just one of those at my work!!! Thanks for keeping up the good work US Postal service!!! ....just think when those guys had to ride horses in rain, sleet, snow and day or night?! Luuuuuucky!!!!

The postal office workers are great and patient, especially considering some of the convoluted processes and procedures they have to work with and explain to the average person. Whatever shortfalls they have on products or staff is not within their power to change, so considering what they are working with, I find them to be very personable, conscientious, respectful, and yes--efficient. That does not mean that do not stand in line, etc., but their demeanor makes it more doable.

My packages werent delivered yesterday because of "hazardous weather conditions" which is bullshit because FedEx delivered to me just fine the same day, and the following day USPS delivered a package to my house even though conditions were the same today. When I went into pick up my packages from this post office the guy at the window told me hes not gonna go digging through all the stuff to find my packages and I just have to wait. USPS is the worst.

Any time I have a package go through Eugene, regardless of the USPS branch, my packages are usually 2-3 days late. Notes on this package clearly stated; "Do NOT delay. Ship immediately!" Even paid the $96 dollars for expressed shipping. Had to reschedule an overseas business trip-that was costly. Switching to a private shipping agency whom I know will get the job done. Keep up the good work USPS.

We had a very bad experience here. The employee named Atkins signed for my general delivery package from UPS but said that they do NOT do general delivery and my package was not there. Hmm, then why would you sign for it? Also, the website says they DO HAVE GENERAL DELIVERY AT THIS LOCATION. I would advise not trusting this office.

I also dont know what are all the bad reviews. I have been using them for a few years and never had a problem! They are very helpful and friendly. I never had any problems with my deliveries (and that includes international mail!). Lines can be long depending on the time of the day. But that doesnt make them a bad service..

Very friendly. Very slow. Their PO Box clerk seems incompetent or uncaring. For years I have received mail to names which are not on my box. Today one of my clients hand-delivered a payment that was returned to them because the clerk marked it as "name not on box," although the address is completely accurate. Sigh.

Every time I go to this Post Office there is a long line and usually one clerk working. Last time it took me 20 minutes in line just to pick up an undeliverable letter. I avoid this office like the plague when I can.

I dont know what all the negative reviews are about. Ive been using this post office for years and never had any problems. Its a huge plus that they are open until 6 on weekdays and also a few hours on Saturdays.

What are Sat hours for this office??? Simple thing that ought to be posted on the website so one does not have to wait 20-30 minutes trying to call the office to find out. Thats the government for you...

Always awful customer service! USPS hired a few turtles to do the job! They share their life stories with customers while 50 people in the line. I wish I didnt have to go there anymore!

Real nice clerks, but real slow line as well, plan ahead & give yourself 30 to 40 minutes if you have to pick something up from the line, early mornings are the best for shortest waits.
