Heather was my stylist recently at Westwood. I have dark auburn hair and asked for an ombre style that just lightened up the ends of my hair. I showed Heather several pictures and said explicitly that I wanted a subtle look and that I like my natural color and did not want the top of my hair to change. She seemed to have a firm grasp of what I wanted and told me she would use two tones and start the color near my ears. Then she said she wouldnt tell me any more about it and started working. 2.5 hours later, Heather had given me uneven bleach-blonde streaks throughout the top of my hair. I was in such shock when I saw my hair that I couldnt form the words to explain how upset I was, but I want the community to know the risks of using Heather as a stylist. She obviously did not listen to what I wanted or use any of the pictures I showed her as a guide. I am so disappointed by this experience. I am in a wedding in less than two weeks and will have to find someone to cover it up, but it wont be the same as having my natural hair color. As a result of this experience, I will not be using Heather as a stylist and I will make sure to discourage others from using her. It will also be very difficult for me to trust Westwood salon again if this is the type of stylist they stand behind.

This place is a hidden gem! I first came here over 10 years ago for my first ever salon experience. The stylists are patient, kind, and listen to your wants/needs. I have never walked out unsatisfied. Over the years Ive seen several different stylists to accommodate my availability and have never had a negative experience. Ive tried different salons when I moved farther away and none compared. Over the years this business has expanded to create a more aesthetically pleasing experience for the customers. Adding tanning beds (which work better and give you a more natural looking tan compared to the chain salons), custom pedicure chairs/manicure stations as well as a cafe. The owner pours her heart and soul into this small business and it really shows with the number of repeat clients/long term customers. Come support this local small business thats been here for over 15 years, I promise it wont disappoint!

I found this place, FINALLY, yesterday afternoon. Terresa gave me my first ever eyebrow wax, which was awesome! After I left from my appointment, I decided to take another chance and schedule a hair appointment. I am VERY leery on people touching my hair, but I went ahead and scheduled with Jami. She was super nice and excited to help me with my bayalage. Mind you, my hair is dark brown and I wanted to go much lighter. Over the years, Ive been told by many stylists that my hair could never go anywhere near a strawberry blonde. Jami told me she could make it happen. My hair is super thick, but two hours later...voila. I have hair that I was told could never happen. Next time, Im going to Jami and going all out with this color. This is the color Ive been dreaming of. She pulled it off!

Me loves me some Amy at Westwood! I make the drive from the west side to get my hair cut and colored. Why? Because once you find a hair stylist that makes it all work, you will travel no matter the distance. Amy does just that...my color lasted 8 weeks and she gave me a cut that was cute, stylish, and easy to maintain. Go see the girls at Westwood. They make your experience fun, the salon is a hive of all demographics, and you leave satisfied!

Ive been coming to this salon for 10 years now twice a month. Tiffany is amazing! Im in the military and have to keep a professional appearance at all times and Tiffany always seems to be able to fit me in whenever I need it. Its a very clean and warm atmosphere. The tanning beds are amazing and Michelle is an amazing nail technician. The quick and easy food and coffee is amazing and always hits the spot!

I have long, thick and opinionated hair! Im almost 40 and have really struggled over the years to find somebody who actually knows what theyre doing. Tiffany is that stylist! She is amazing, as is the rest of the staff here. My husband has even started getting his hair cut here and hes a Supercuts or cheaper kind of guy! Love it, highly recommend.

Westwood tan and beauty is a awesome gem tucked away behind the safeway store on Thiessen Rd. They are friendly, laid back, and very reasonable. My stylist, Cathy, really took her time and made me feel like I was family. This place is so much better than the get in and get out mentality of the chain haircut places.

I have been going to this salon for over 10 years. I absolutely love my stylist Terresa Bechtel! She has done my hair for almost 20 years and I wouldnt go anywhere else. The salon is bright and cheery and the new owner is very nice. Shes done a lot of things to improve the look and environment of the salon.
