Ive got very curly hair, that is curlier in some spots than others. Its also fine. All these things make it very tricky to cut right. I went to Arabella and saw Pipper after having a haircut a month prior that I was less than enthused about (kept hoping it would look ok when it grew out, but nay!). She set it right, and made me believe that my hair can look good again! She was pleasantly chatty, but not overly so. The salon as a whole is in an awkward location, but once you find your way through the front door, its super inviting. Warm lighting, windows that allow natural light, comfortable shampoo sinks, etc. There doesnt seem to be any awkward drama between anyone that works there, which is super awesome (and really, really hard to find!). I know they won some award for being super eco friendly, but they certainly didnt sacrifice any of their sense of luxury to accomplish that, which makes all the more impressive.

Kirsten is wonderful! I was going to Arabella and seeing Steven before he left, and I had arranged for a different stylist (a family member) to do my hair for my wedding. At the last minute my hair stylist cancelled, and I was left in a bind. Our wedding coordinator recommended the gals at Arabella to me! They were so flexible - they saved my bacon! Kirsten squeezed me in to do a trial run before the wedding and made my hair look great on the day-of. I was so tickled to go back to Arabella. Ive been seeing Kirsten ever since. She is so pleasant to see and my appointments are always fun and relaxed. My hair looks wonderful after I go there. I cant recommend them enough!

It doesnt get better than fantastic hair, great service, and good people. Arabella rocks. I also know first hand that they are genuinely committed to sustainable business practices and community service. Its not a marketing ploy; they really mean it and really do it, and that makes me feel even better about supporting them.

This is a beautiful salon with an experienced, but hip group of cosmetologist. Theyre super nice and often booked. So call ahead. Salon is upstairs in an open-air beautiful old space. Its sophisticated, but has friendly feel.

Libby Rohman does a phenomenal job with hair. Shes always asking if you need something different, or if you didnt like something from last time.
