If you enjoy having your workout dictated by whatever machine you can jump on or whatever little amount of space you can find, then maybe youll like it here. Theyre beyond over-crowded, and still signing people up. Speaking of signing people up, if you think youll save time by signing up online, dont think that. They have the WORST ran line known to mankind. Theres a guy that just stands there and it looks like hes trying to navigate the people that walk through the front door, but I dont think he makes the slightest difference. People that walk-in and sign up have to fill out paper work, right? Well, they get to fill out their paperwork and hold up the line, even though there are people that have signed up online that ONLY need their picture taken and to pick up their card. Realistically, you can do two of those online people before that other person is done with their papers. And that probably wouldve saved 15 minutes of my life alone. Think of how many other lives it couldve helped. So, let me get back to it being extremely over-crowded. The whole lobby is packed with people whenever Ive gone. And then after fighting past those people to scan my card, I have to run around between aisles to find an open machine. Any machine. Weights, cardio, whatever. Every machine has someone on it. Even the floor area has people laying across it doing poorly executed sit-ups or planks. I looked into a Zumba class and it was shoulder to shoulder. Gross. And Ive tried different times of day ever since they opened. Im on this side of town (after getting off work) around 4:00. My boyfriend and I have tried going directly after work. Weve tried the next hour. The next hour. And the next hour. So apparently, the only time you might not have to wait for a machine, is around 10:00pm. Well, Ill be generous and say maybe around 9:30pm. And its still pretty busy, but theres a handful of open machines vs fighting for one. And again, theyre STILL signing people up. Good for their business, bad for anyone that was hoping to workout. And this is everything I dont like since after this gym has opened. I had a problem as soon as I signed up because their website is misleading. It said NOTHING about the fact that it wasnt open or it was going to open in late February. It also linked to email addresses and phone numbers that werent connected, so I couldnt figure out why they already charged me for something that wasnt actually open. I had to email corporate just to get the actual owners attention. Of course, THEN he responded. He said when I went in, hed give us a t-shirt for our troubles. I got jack squat. Not that I really need a shirt, but I dont like being told Id be given something for being mislead, and then not getting anything. Why? Because Im being mislead again, DUH. So yeah, unless you like your time being wasted and spending most of your gym time just hoping a machine you want to be on will open up, Id avoid this one. Its cheap, but you might as well not pay anything for how much time you just spend waiting around at this place.

Chill gym environment. As far as professional employees and managers there they sucks. I went in last month to make a payment towards the yearly fee and my November to cancel in person. It literally took 30 minutes because the dumb ass Sam or should I say Uncle Sam who was helping me started helping everyone else that came in after. I asked for my receipt of cancellation and payment twice but he told me I was good. My fault for not leaving without one. Next month I get charged, I have no receipt and plus I paid with cash. Dumbass didnt leave any notes of payment or any proof of cancellation. I asked the manager Samantha if he was there and she stated they fired him! So after talking to Darrell that same morning before Samantha. I was told she would reimburse me but nope she instead argued but he did cancel my membership over the phone; which they dnt do. Just waiting on the email she would send. At this point its not about stupid ten bucks its the principal! So now Im disputing it with my bank and switching out my card. Moral of the story always leave with a receipt of your purchase or whatever, crunch gym on division, PO service sucks but good gym to get in and out for a workout!

If youre doing weights and cardio, its ok. However, if you want to warm up, or do pushups/crunches/crossfit/your own routine, good luck finding a spot where you arent in the trainers way. Today I went inside the large classroom so I could stretch in peace, and a trainer came in with a client, and turned on the loud speaker system. For one person. I also see the trainers making their clients do things which I highly doubt they would do on their own, and arent sustainable. When I had my own free trainer trial, I specifically told her I wanted to learn how to lift heavy (Im a female). She then handed me 2lb dumbbells, a wood stick to squat with, and encouraged me to do longer sets with lighter weights. So, if you know what youre doing, and dont need your own bubble, this place is ok. Dont use the trainers, and dont expect to have room to yourself.

Been gone for a year. Came back to re-issue my new payment method. I had a past due of 150 (12 months plus 30.00 maintenance fee. They said I couldnt renew my membership until i paid their past due. Which is ridiculous because if I had attempted to come inside the gym during any of the months with a past due balance; I wouldnt have been allowed inside unless i have paid my past due, therefore there is a restriction to using their services. In my opinion, a past due balance is services owed, and the balances are for compensation for having access to their services. If I could not have access to their services because I had a past due; then why I am I being billed every month? I bet they continue to add every month in which Im not paying. Only way to come back is to pay for all the months I have "not" paid for, is a terrible consumer model.

I have to say, the flow of people coming into this gym has died down dramatically since its opening a month ago. Of course they signed a bunch of people up because they have a business to run, but are all these people going to be at the gym the same time? No. Ive been going daily aroung peak time (5:30PM to 6:30PM) and it has not been nearly as crowded as when they first opened. Plus, for 19.95 you get unlimited tanning! Try to find a tanning salon in Portland that has a better deal for stand up beds. The "Awe" factor has died down so dont be hesitant to come in because you think it will be packed. Their machines are all brand new and state of the art and they have an open floor workout area with TRX, kettle bells, wall balls, boxes, jump rope, etc. incase you want to get a little Crossfit in as well.
